Chronics or Troublemakers?

I'd go with the chronics, but thats just because I've had good luck with line skis in the past. I've never skied dynastar so I couldn't comment on them. But if you get chronics you'll for sure have a awesome ski.

i have the troublemakers mounted at core center and they still kill at all mountain.  i can ski the trees at BC and steam boat with ease.  they dont wash out high speeds.  and they are stiff enough to go fast with out feeling like noodles

and both the chronics and trouble makers are sick in the park.

but if you are expecting these to hold up in the BC, then DEFINITELY look at something wider.

I went with the TMs and they were a great choice, very stable at high speed on groomers, and a good ski for me to start to play in the park with, have not been in powder with them yet, and I expect them to sink some, but overall a very solid all mountain twin tip.

You also might like something wider if you ski in the trees/backcountry much. Something around 90-95 underfoot is still narrow enough to be responsive and not feel bulky, but still plenty wide for the occasional pow run.

The chronic is also a little bit fatter than the troublemaker, so you might have some more versatility there.

if you can wait, the Chronic Kryptonite is supposed to be a wider chronic, that sounds good for you.

that being said, i love my chronics, they are awesome for the mountain. i have fun going like 100mph on them, and you probably would too.

GET CHRONICS. I rode both TM's and Chronics this year, and while I really liked how both of them skied, the Chronics are WAY more durable. I de-laminated the tip one ski and the tail on the other after one day of park riding, and in 2 weeks the tail was coming apart too badly to be able to ski switch. Plus there were a ton of edge cracks in a short period of time. I rode the Chronics starting at the end of February and skied them proabably 5 times a week on average through the middle of April, and then on and off through the start of May doing post season session. They have a few edge cracks, but other than that are holding up great.

it basically comes down to if you want a longer or shorter turning radius, which if you are doing more all mountain you would want the TM which has a shorter radius.  I have never skied them, but I'm pretty sure they have a similar flex and have heard good things about both.  I have chronics, but i think that the TM is underrated.
