I'm thinking of getting a video camera thats about 500 to 800 bucks, I've done a bit of research and i thinking of getting a sony HDRCX100 HD, (link: http://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/servlet/ProductDetailDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&productId=1006071&navigationPath=32080n100027 ) but im not sure how good it is, whats ns's opinion?

but anytime I see that a camera comes in different colors, I almost completely write it off..

Get a Canon HV30 - but don't take my word for it - DO YOUR RESEARCH! Google = bff for evs. Do it up, good luck!
