^^Okay you state that like a fact. ITS AN OPINION. YOU CAN POST IT ONCE. Who gives a fuck if you REALLY think Green Day blows a goat? Everybody is entitled to their own opinions.
You're posting that 5 bagillion times only wasted your time because no one's going to read every single line. Congrats.
As for the thread, I actually do like the new Green Day - I find it catchier than their old stuff.
I feel like people only rank on "new" music from bands because they can't accept the fact that bands, their music, and their lives change. People say the same thing about Blink. It's not like the band is trying to appeal to a different audience - their sound just changes. Its still the same three guys who played music before.
Just my thoughts, take em or leave em.
fuckin school computers...
I'm pretty sure I figured that one out, but thanks for the lesson genius. Anyways, it doesn't matter, it's still true, and just very immature.
wowwww ive listened to green day since their first fuckin album 1039 smoothed out slappy hours. american idiot is so crappppy its unbelievable. now all i see is these fat uglyass girls wearing green day shirts. ill ask them "have you heard dookie, kerplunk, nimrod, or shenanigans?" theyll be like whats that? it pisses me off those fucking sell outs. not tryin to piss anyone off just mad

Green Day is my favorite band of all time. I only came to know of them 5 years ago during the A.I. era. It was love at first listen, and lust at first sight of Front Billie Joe Armstrong. Since that time, I've of course bought every CD they made, and the awesome DVD BIAB. It is because of GD that I joined my first ever forum(s) at the old age of 42 and my obssession took off. I learned everything I could about the band, past and present. It is also because of GD that I have MySpace and FB to connect with my GD friends around the world
As you can imagine, this is a VERY exciting time for anyone who likes Green Day. I've waited 4 years for this release, and to me, it is absolutely amazning! Their single "Know Your Enemy" is my least favorite song I must admit. I love 21st CBD, Last Night on Earth..most amazing love song ever, East Jesus Nowhere..BA, Peacemaker, Static Age, Before the Lobatomy are some of my favorites so far, but it changes day to day.
I can't wait for their upcoming tour. I've got a string of shows lined up, as I have alot of lost time to make up for. I wasn't fortunate to see them on their AI tour, but I was VERY lucky to see them in a very small venue last memorial weekend down in Phoenix Az. They were doing 10 small gigs around the country under the name "The Foxboro Hot Tubs", which few new was actually GD but us on the fan site. God, it was amazing. I was pressed up against the stage, and often times Billie himself :p in my first ever experience of an intense mosh pit. Billie would dive right on top of us and crowd surf, and when I got hold of him, I didn't let go til he almost lost his pants, which ride low as it is, sexy man that he is. Twice I got up on stage with him, and many others. I hugged him and kissed him on his sweaty, beer drenched cheeks!!! Oohlala. He just loved his fans and invited everyone to join in the fun. It was pretty much a Green Day grope fest. It was a night I will never forget for as long as I live.........the kind of night dreams are made of.
Long live Green Day....they are better than ever. They will be on David Letterman tonight, for anyone who is interested.
^Well,in the beginning listening to my son's American Idiot cd, it just grabbed me, the songs were catchy. I simple loved EVERY song on AI. I loved the sound, and the lyrics on AI are anything but simple. I think Billie is an amazing lyricist. He as always written about how he feels at the present.....like most writters. In the early days it was about drugs, sex, booze and masturbation ;). Since the days of Dookie, I've seen his lyrics mature and become more complicated. Along with that, I think Billie has an amazing voice, his stage persona is beyond reproach. No one puts on a show to a crowd large or small like Billie Joe Armstrong. I think Tre' is one of the best drummers out there, and his goofy personality makes him intregueing. Mike, well I think is a great bass, and he too is a kind, genuine guy.
The latest release 21st Century Breakdown, Billie went all out addressing the issues he faces in todays society. It is another concept rock opera with 2 characters,Christian and Gloria, The album is very powerful, and the lyrics are anything but simple. It you really sat down and listened to the lyrics, I'm sure you would agree that they are indeed very complex.
Aside from that, I think Billie has the most beautiful voice on the planet. He can sing with anger and rage, full of fury, then turn around and sing a love song like "Last Night on Earth" that brings billie bumps when I hear it. They have remained a band now for 20 years, and continue to evolve, mature, and perfect their sound. I predict 21CBD will be bigger than IA or Dookie. They were awesome on Letterman last night . They performed "East Jesus Nowhere" which is one of my favorite songs on the album. GIve it a listen, you may find you like them too.
Oh, I forgot one more thing.....I think Billie Joe Armstrong is the most gorgous, sexy guys I've ever laid eyes on.Some guys even agree :o
