so i was at the auto show entered some contest and i won it now i either one one of 4 prizes....

a new porche cayan, bmw, or mercedes
free 5 day vacation
1500 dollar shoppiong spree

im garenteed to win 1 of the 4 since im a finalist
im pumped even if i just got 500 itll still be sick

but I gotta ask, is the 'free vacation' have everything completely paid for? airfare as well? or do you have to pay that?

they might slam you with only being able to get the prize if you order the tickets thru one company or travel agent and then the fees for that are gonna be crazy high and about twice the cost and in the end you pay for your own vacation almost.

I dont want to be a debby downer that just came to mind... learnt about scams in school and that was one going around, its not illegal so no one really cares.

Have you ever even driven a Cayenne? I would have to say the Cayenne S is one of the best, if not, the best compact SUV out their. Drives like a dream and can handle any condition. Plus, everyone has BMW and Mercedes who has money. Not many cayennes on the road.

i won the FREE VACATION which is a cruise in the carribean for 5 days plus one other prize idk what that one is yet i have to wait till next saturday to find out when i go to the place

Ive heard its not very spacious, and that the trunk is really small, plus its a porsche sports car SUV which is a pretty pointless concept in the first place.

But mostly its just hideous.

I can't say I have driven it but it is absolutely, astonishingly ugly.  Plus I would buy BMW/Merc any day over porsche.  Unless I was fortunate enough to be in the 911 turbo price range, then it would be a hard choice. 

In its defense though I drove the land rover S thing that has a 0-60 of like 7 seconds, and it was pretty fun to be mobbin around that fast in an SUV.  But I would still rather have either a proper SUV or a sports car than some weird frankenstien combination of both.

Haha I went through one of these things too. It's not really something you won. It's a vacationing corporation that puts these on. I won a "cruise" and a timeshare for a weekend at my choice of X places... I chose Daytona. The fine print part of it is all you have to do is attend a short meeting about timeshares and condos. Then you show up and there are room fees, the meeting is like 3 hours with salesmen surrounding you like shark in the water but if you skip out early on the meeting you get charged for the condo stay. The cruise to the carribean is not like a carnival or whatever, it's a boat ride to the bahamas where you have to find a place to stay and pay port charges etc.

Not to be a buzzkill but I wish I would have had somebody explain this to me. I did however put me and my friends up in a beach front condo for the weekend but had to pay a room fee ($35) and go to the 3 hour meeting.

my friend did this, and had the time of his life fucking with the salesman.

he got out of the meeting early, it was amazing. apparently he just kept asking the salesman as many questions as he could, in an ali G/Borat sort of way, as if he was COMPLETELY boneheaded, and they were so fed up with his stupid questions and his taking their time away from the other people there, that they let him out after about an hour.

apparently it took them 35 mins just to explain to him what a timeshare was, because he kept asking them really dumb questions about it, and making them circle around over and over until he 'got it' and then he did the same thing with the next thing.

sounds sick, one time i thought i won one of those contests when i got a golden envelope in the mail with a key in it. I called the number a they said you have to be 18 and then your name gets put into an even bigger draw to win a car. It sucked i definitely thought i won something.
