Crossing the border with your N

this is a question for people that either have or did have their N drivers license in BC. im looking to drive down to mt.hood this summer and im wondering if they allow you to cross the boarder with only your N drivers license? and is it possible to take more than one person across with you? the rule say's you can only have one person but if you drove to teh border with 2 passengers could one just walk across and get back in the car on the other side? sorry if these sound like stupid questions but google isnt helping.

the us won't care if you have more than 1 person in your car with your N. icbc wont give you insurance if you get in a crash.

I live in Abbotsford, but my home mountain is Baker. I cross the border all the time with my N, no problems. Although, the guards do notice if you aren't displaying your N, so I think they might care if you have an extra person. I would just do the walking across thing you talked about.

pretty sure your insurance would be void if you got into an accident ... that could be some big medical bills for you and your friends at an american hospital ...

been wondering the same thing for a while. i would think that you can get accross with your N no problem.. just the bringing more than 1 person that sucks. pretty stupid rule i think i always have like 2-5 people in my car.

Yup,
As other people have said, you can cross fine, but just like back in BC, if you have too many people in your car and get in an accident (even if you are not at fault), you're insurance will be void. If anyone gets hurt, it's quite possible that someone you thought was a good friend would be pretty unhappy. They would be able to fuck your life by suing/pressing charges and you'd be in a shitty place.
Just saying.
I can't say whether or not the cops would ticket you for breaching the regulations on your license as I've never been pulled over, but if any damage actually happens: no coverage.
