summer setups are the way to go.  we have a will and andy style box and another one coming im pretty pumped. 

It was funny when my parents found out what i was building though, they thought it was stupid haha

I'm starting on my setup friday, haven't done one before.  I'm gonna try and find some carpet and a old rail that i can mount on a base... anyone got some tips or setups that work good for them?

well wat i did for the drop in is used wats called plastic lattice. then for the tranny/lip onto the rail/box, i used some outdoor carpet i found.

cool cool.  my friend and i ordered some snowgel stuff which makes pretty much anything a good drop in....or so it advertises.

Hmmm, well. The ramp itself is 10' long, the tranny is about 4' long, about 2-3' up the ramp from the ground.. The skis flex a lot, but they're doing fine so far... I might add another tranny for a smaller angle though so we can keep some more speed.

What do you do for snow?  That soap/water/sand mix didn't seem to work all too well.  I want to build one of these instead of the mini ramp I was planning on building!

use composite decking for rails, cheap and 10x better than pvc, it doesn't break and slides awesomely with some detergent or candle wax. my drop in is 8 ft tall with a 16ft ramp and a butter pad to the rail. kinda hard to explain
