how long are the pipes your going to use?

Turf will be fine for your afterbang mat. Just remember to make it long enough for a good rideaway. (2-300 yards)

You might want some supports in the middles. If you land towards the middle of that design, it could crack. Do you have a drop in plan?  Those are the hardest parts of the projects for me to design and build.

they are 10'. is that long enough or should i do a 20' single barrel?

I think I'm going to put a support in the middle, but it will just be straight up and down and not an upside down T if you get what i mean.

working on the drawings for the drop now, but i think im going to use an old playground slide I can take off my jungle gym (pics soon).

will those rails work fine for sliding?
should it be a box (with that high density polyethylene shit)?

u need to figure out how ur gonna atach the pipes to the supports.

true story...im leaning towards screws, but thats gonna be lots more work than liquid nails. I'll go to Lowes and see what they think. Probably will just get a drill bit that can make a hole in the pipe then drill a smaller hole for the screw, put a couple of them on each end.

is liquid nails really bad?

would it be possible to buy this and just "snap" it on to something? like snap it onto a piece of wood?

never heard of this stuff. i dont think it would just snap onto wood though.

yeah thats what i was thinking. but i will look into that more and find out. in the meanwhile, i want to start construction of my rail. going to the store hopefully today and getting all the wood, screws and everything else i need.

I am trying to make a materials list (with all the lengths and stuff i need so they can cut it at lowes).

How exactly should i build it. Should i have:

pipes set on top of 4+ legs
pipes on top of plywood on top of 4+ legs
pipes on top of 2x4 on top of 4+ legs

basically im asking if i should build the legs (all shaped like upside down T's) then attack poles straight to that, or if i should attach some wood to the top of all the legs then put the poles on top of that. each pole is about 1.5 inch diameter.

this is kind the T idea its just buried. Its pvc cut in half to hold the rail.

You have to remember that iron will rust, and yeah, put a support in the middle
