ok, so i was pulled over two times in one week, for excessive speeding (with good reasons for both), and the tickets are each 140 dollars, and four points. which is over the limit for me, because if you get 12 points in one year your license will be suspended, and i have 14 points... i think. i have decided to go to court for both tickets, and i was wondering what the likelyhood is of the cops showing up to the hearings, because if they dont show up it will be dismissed which i could really use.

not true it wont be dismissed if the cops dont show up ... at all youll still pay

I have court for 71 in a 40 on the 27th blah

my dad went to court to fight a $44 parking ticket which he legitimately didn't deserve. Cop didn't show, he was like "ok."

in his case, $44 isn't the problem, he just wanted to prove that people should be able to park in the place. so he almost failed by not having the cop show up. haha

anyway, you should go to court, maybe he doesn't show, maybe they reduce your fine/points, maybe you learn your lesson? aka getting a radar detector. my friend got a legit one on ebay for $60. no more speeding tickets. ever.

One loophole that you can look into is checking if the officer properly calibrated his radar gun on the days of the tickets

radar detectors are illegal in some states, and cops actually have radar detector detectors. This guy had a built in radar detector in his Benz, and he got pulled over and the cop asked him if he had one because it showed up he did, he didnt even know, haha. i think he got let off with a warning, but he could have gotten a ticket

there are also things called radar jammers. they are massively illegal and the cop will try to look at his radar gun and go "what the FUCK?!?!?!"

but, i'm in washington, and radar detectors are legal, so my friends have em. haha
