Today I was taking a walk with my family (b/c i guess thats a nice thing to do on M's day) and before we got too far down the trail we heard what sounded like a baseball bat hitting a 55 gallon drum. Another second later we hear a louder bang and go running back on the trail. When we got to the road there was a car in the woods and pieces of a gsxr700 all over the road. After yelling "holy shit" I ran over to the almost lifeless biker on the side of the road, limp and pieces of bike literally everywhere. Apparently the car crossed the yellow line and hit the gsxr head on at about 50, leaving the biker with little to no chance of survival. I called 911 and waited hopelessly as yells and crying came from the crashed car in the woods.
It was FUCKED up. Seeing somebody inches from death and waiting so long for police made me really pissed. I guess it was the feeling of hopelessness. It could have been me or anybody else on a bike, and it takes them wayyy less than 10 minutes for the cops to get to one of my friends party's if there was a complaint. Its a long time to wait for help, and I live in a relativley small town. Please ride safe this season, and watch out. Other drivers on the road can be way more dangerous than riding the bike itself. You probably already know that, but still.
