Why is skiing so"hard"?

Why does there have to be gun-shots in every edit?
I was just thinking this question, fairly pointless thread but really why? and when did this enter into skiing?
I am not trying to start a hate thread just a discussion.

i think the whole thug and rap thing started, then when people noticed the gun shots in the song they started doing hand jesters so that the whole edit kinda flow like it was choreographed to the song, but i have no idea really why.

i think theres more style when people ski "hard" honestly, and since most the kids that people look up to have that type of style it stuck.. thats my guess.

Because we all belong to the biggest gang in snow sports: Newschoolers. Whenever you're on the mountain, there always a newschooler, not too far away, ready to take a bullet for a fellow newschooler. And it's because of this mutual protection that skiers can afford to act hard, listen to rap, and make aggressive hand gestures at cameras.

may by so in the west and at larger mountains in the east but sometimes i ski as the only nser no the mountain. not the best atmosphere to progress. and on the east coast there are not as many skier who act "hard"... but to ski out here you gatta be

And personally skiing is 'hard' because it's just a style that people think is fun to impersonate

I mean you wouldn't be flashin gun signs if you weren't around anyone you didn't know, just personally cause you don't know how they'd take it, but at a ski hill it's fair game!

this whole "hard" thing is a comunist plot to get skiers to start carying guns, wich would make it legal to carry guns while skiing, so all the comunists could carry guns and ski without us americans knowing, so they would all ski there way from russia, water ski over to alaska, then ski there way down to america with their guns, then wede have a bunch of commies with guns all over our country, and they would all have higher ground! OH GOD!

i think three factors played a large role.
1. the skiing culture of the 80s and 90s. the oldschool skiers with really tight clothes and a pretty gay skiing style has caused many of the newschool skiers wanting to change the sport and say: " hey were not like our parents" we dont have an oldschool style. its wanting to be different than the previous generation and giving skiing a cooler image as opposed to snwoboarding, which has gained in popularity.
2. many of the pro skiers who are rolemodels to others, listen to hip hop. also when they are not on the slopes, they tend to wear urban clothes, cuz hip hop is a way of life to many. like when the rappers are on stage, the slopes are the stage of the freeskiers, so the freeskiers wear what makes them what they are.
3. being unique. about 95 % of the people on the slope wear dull, boring and misfitting clothes on the slopes and the dont even know how to really ski. the other 5% are freeskiers, and on the slopes you often see people turning their heads to see what is afterbanging past them. it is a way of stepping out of the crowd.

thid might make sense to you, or it might be a whole load of bs to you.
anyways, i think this is why things are as they are.
