Highest I ever did was the steam pipe on the Saugus River (MA) close to low-tide...think it was around 95-100 at that point. Wouldn't recommend it....highly illegal and the water isn't great for one's health.
Anyone ever jump the cliffs on Sebago (ME)? I remember way back when I was a little guy, these college kids were jumping out of the woods above the cliffs (the forest sloped down to the cliffs)...was well over 70...crazeee.
huntington gorge is def my favorite. i used to go there several times a week when i lived in VT. its def true that it can be really sketchy, but if you scope the place out enough to figure out what the currents are like (they can be real deceiving) and you like to scare yourself a little bit its generally not too much more dangerous than jumping off any other cliff. once you scope it out a few times there are like 5 spots to jump from ranging from 10-45 or so ft.
obviously this isn't 100% true but i think most of the deaths that happen there are because people a) have never been there, heard it was safe to swim and just jumped in without being smart about it b) where drunk or c) it was night time.
all in all its kinda like back country skiing, dont be a retard
also bristol falls is sick, that place in stowe is sick, red rocks are pretty cool but usually really packed. oakledge is fun if you can get a really good running start, lone rock is fun but dodging the security that's there for the summer camp can be a pain.
I have been thinking about going there I live in fairfield ct how deep is the water? Some ppl have told me its really sketch but others have said the opposite.
clarendon gorge just south of rutland has a 35 footer and a tree thats about 50-60 at the very top but its scketchy as hell to get up it. just up the dirt road is devils gorge, pretty narrow with a water fall and 35 ft cliff.
theres a newly shut down quarry in between pittsford and brandan on rt 7 with cliffs everywhere ranging from 30 to 65-75, plus the water is turquoise from the marble, its one of the sickest places ive been but is private property so you might get kicked out. there also a turquoise beach there.
that bridge in burlington is real fun. huntington is also real sick to and the swimming is amazing. if anyone is ever in ithaca ny there are a lot of spots. check out this video of some guy doing a gainer.
Yeah i knew a girl who fractured her back on the 30 footer at red rocks... you gotta at least have a little technique or pretty much anything over 15 feet can fuck you up pretty hard.
Its located in Sebago Lake Maine, once you get on Sebago lake, ask any boater how to get to frye's island and once you get to Frye's look to the left (in most cases the left, if you for some reason are coming in from the other direction the right) and you'll see Frye's leap. There's like 3 other cliffs that no one jumps off idk why, but Frye's is the biggest and like 10 feet from the other cliffs. There are portions of Frye's Leap that are 15 feet, 60 feet, and then 90. There's a game warden who patrols the island and the leap, if they catch you on Frye's Leap you'll either be told to leave or be slapped a fine, so when ancoring look out for any boats floating around, looking sketchy. Its also good to jump frye's when other people are already there so you can watch them, and also you will know the Game Warden is no where near. Here's a video of the leap: its not CALLED friars leap its Frye's these are most likely non locals who are complete idiots. Also: THIS GUY IS ONLY JUMPING THE 60 Foot PART I KNOW IT LOOKS SMALLER THEN 60 BUT BELIEVE ME I'VE SEEN IT PLENTY OF TIMES. YOU CAN SEE THE 90 FOOTER TO THE SIDE of the part this kids jumping off, its not as sketchy as it looks, it just looks that way on the vid.
Also, anyone near Windham, ME there is a great spot called the Trussel by locals. Its basically a bridge which on the side you jump off has train tracks. I'd say 25-30 footer. Waters deep, you'll easily see it, its on Gambo Fields in Windham. Look for directions to Gambo Fields, then you'll see "The Mountian Division Trail" walk for like .5 miles and you'll be right on the trussell. Its a nice jump, not as legendary as Frye's leap, and only know to locals of the windham area. Have fun.
near wilmington you have the harriman reservior, walk past the nude beach and you have a set of cliffs to jump. in early summer theyre only like 10 footers, but as the summer goes on they get up to 25. then you can climb trees on the cliffs to add 10-25'
then if you head south down 100 from wilmington, i think after it turns to 112, not sure, you'll come to some no parking signs. theyre there to try and stop ppl from jumping "the gorge", which is a prety chill spot. u usually have some peeps boozin/druggin on the rocks. theres 10-50' cliffs there
willmoore02Anyone know where "the grotto" is? I've seen people call it that in videos like "vt monster quarries" but I don't know where it is.
The Grotto is Owned by Rock of Ages. There's jumps up to 140' I believe, but the water might as well be bottomless. I have more pictures on my Instagram (Cameron05156) and anyone can message me there if they need directions. I don't want to post it online.

The slate quarries around Castleton and Fair Haven, VT have some crazy shit, one near Lake Bomoseen has a 50 footer that i've done and 65, maybe even 80 if u can jump really far out.
