K2 Silencer

So what do you guys think about the k2 silencers? Are they a good buy for durability, jumps, jibs, etc.?

One of my friends has them, and they are stiff as fuck. The topsheet is pretty durable, only one large chip from skiing some pretty gnarly rocks, and a couple scratches on the bases, also from said gnarly rocks. No coreshots though, so I'd say they held up pretty good. And seeing as they are stiff as fuck, they should be pretty stable at high speeds, and on bigger jumps.

I bought a set the other day but I havnt yet skiied on them So I cant help, except, before I bought mine I asked who had skiied on them and 'Krook3d' said this:

"Personally the Silencer is my favourite ski ive ever ridden. Cheap as helll on your wallet, durable, light as can be, poppy, great flex and sick graphics. Ive never ridden Chronics but ive only heard amazing things about them, if i were you id get the Silencer no doubt because of its durability and how inexpensive it is. "

I had Silencers for two seasons, they are a fucking stiff ski and I LOVE THEM. They cruise so well everywhere, I rode pow, park, groomers, steeps. Pretty much everything, they are a badass ski, my only gripe is that they were too narrow.

hahaha i live how no one posted in this untill you put up +k. but anyways what everyone said was true they ARE VERY STIFF so if you prefer that then good. I also heard theyre not the best park ski and built more towards a beginner ski but im not sure about that

really stiff, and construction is more all- mountain than park. Would make a good beginner park ski

But come on, The Ski doesnt make the skiier. If Tom Wallisch Skiied 5 year old Salomons ( The Ski in Session 1242) He would still slay.

i had them for some time and theyre pretty stiff, narrow (80?) and light, graphics just arent very impressive. good on rails and not too expensive either.

My best bud has these and i've skied them a few times.
they're stiff as hell like all these guys said, they seem to be a pretty damp ski (heavy with not a ton of pop). Certainly durable though, he's had them for three seasons and they've just got a bunch of topsheet chipping.

They seem like a solid beginner park ski, but I think you could get a much better ski out there for the money.

Yeah I own them to and the thing that is absolutely true is that they are very very stiff.  But that is not a bad thing if you will be skiing a lot of all mountain and not only park because they are called all mountain twin tips.  Also they hold up pretty well but I skied them very hard for about 40 in eastern conditions.   I have a few deep shots on the base and the topsheet is becoming more destroyed.  The plastic just keeps tearing off on the topsheet.  Besides that they feel somewhat heavy in the park but it doesnt really matter if your just a casual park skier.

The best thing is obviosly the price so if you dont mind a stiff ski then you should definitely buy them

It seems to me like it's an introductory park ski and do it all twin tip, mostly because of the price.  But then why did Shea Flynn ski them for a number of years, landing some big tricks in a few of the Meathead movies.  Was he just strapped for cash, or did he use them because he loved them?
