right now im the stage after the tingle stage so its like semi noticeable but only form up close
i have a huge jam 2nite and i dont want this fucker

salt is pretty obvious, but if you want actual medicine, try Abreva its #1 for this problem

seriously, get an ice cube and push it onto the cold sore and hold it there until it melts, shrinks the sore and it goes after like 2 days

double post but supposedly, never got round to testing it the cold sore can be stopped at the tingly stage using ice as well

i read that treatment when it was too late

Sounds odd, but mix equal parts of Benadryl and Malox. Swish in your mouth for 30 seconds, spit and don't rinse for a few minutes. It helps with pain and healing!

my cousin gets cold sores really easily from citrus foods and he puts alum spice on them.  you can get it at a grocery store, where all the other spices are. it dries out the cold sore and it's cheap.

Don't get 'em.. but I've heard people say to take L-Lysine. Supposed to heal 'em up in a couple days.

no joke this works sooo well...
my dad uses vodka when he gets a coldsore. he soaks a cotton ball in vodka then puts it on his coldsore and it literally just dries out and goes away.
