Which Ski town?

Hey guys, this year I spent in Whistler and Vancouver. Im looking for another ski town/resort to spend next season in. Right now Im thinking Park City... I ride everywhere on the mountain, I love park but also love pow and all mountain. Good snow is crucial!
Just looking for a good resort thats affordable, friendly and fun! Any tips?

Ogden UT. the fastest growing ski town, ski park city for park, and ski snowbasin for powder, there is also open gyms with tramps and foam pits, and the new Jib yard, indoor rail facility with jump in to foam pit.  also the Salomon center, which has indoor surfing, rock climbing, skydiving, ETC. so much stuff to do.

housing should be cheep in ogden, and snowbasin, powder mountain, and wolf mountain, are with in 10-15 minutes from ogden, park city is about 45, but the 45 minutes is worth it becuase housing is alot cheeper, and there is things to do, also powder mountain and wolf mountain have night skiing, and wolf usually throws up a good park. for night skiing.

I don't want to offend anyone here, but basically all of Utah is kind of weird just because there's so many mormons.  They're freaking everywhere! Seriously, my sister lived there and had to get the hell out just because of the funky mormon vibes. I guess it's different for different people, but that's just my two cents. If I were you, I'd go to anywhere in Summit County, CO, or to the Lake Tahoe area (Squaw, Alpine, Kirkwood, etc...)

i just looked into weber. they have a D1 soccer team. OMG. im gonna look into going there. it looks so sick considering they have D1 soccer and im lookin forward to playin d1 cuz my chances are high. lol. im already bein looked at by quinnipiac university (D1) claim?. and d1 soccer and skiing right near by=the perfect college in the world

you should definetely go to colorado in the town of Frisco or around it. there are like 4 ski resorts (keystone, breck, vail, copper) all in an easy driving distance

i know there is a huge pride war between UT and CO. having skied in both states, i personally prefer UT, but either place is AWESOME.

something to keep in mind Alta got something like 650in of snow this season. someone can correct me if i am wrong, but summit co CO only gets around 300?

haha i had a funny lift ride one time in UT, a couple of guys who moved out there for one season (that was 10 seasons ago) were claiming ut pow like no other and how they have a pow day every week or every other week. but they wanted it kept a secret so no more people from CO moved there. they said the only place in CO they would ever consider going back to was Crested Butte, they had spent a season there.

I'm from CO, but have been to UT, and honestly if you're just looking to ski, go to UT. They get a lot more snow, and you have a lot more options. Although I've heard that the mormon vibes can ruin UT for a lot of people. So basically, if all you care about is excellent skiing, go to UT, but if you want a complete experience with good skiing and chill people/town, go to Summit County.

i grew up in ogden and its definetly getting much more publicity and growing very fast. like said before theres a ton of stuff to do as far as skiing and some activities but the one downside that i see is that weber state is such a commuter school so the party scene is kind of shitty compared to park city or slc. however snowbasin is definetly one of the best resorts i've skied in my opinion.. they've been getting as much snow as alta the past few years and the terrain is off the hook.

It should be "ARE there any colleges...".  "Is there any colleges..."  sounds redneck as fuck"

Utah  is baller as fuck.  Don't worry about the Mormon thing or any drinking laws... Only ignorant people end up having a problem with either.

Very true. I've skied in a lot of different places, CO included, and UT takes the cake. Tons of resorts, tons of snow, and cheap housing/cost of living in Salt Lake.

you my friend have opened pandora's box. haha

i like utah for the snow and how close everything is. you can seriously start the day in MN or any number of places and be skiing a foot of pow by noon. and there are just sooooooooooooo(x100) many choices where to ski all within an easy drive of SLC. denver aint got shit on Salt Lake City. (IMO)

If you're going to CO go to Crested.... all the other places are too expensive, and the terrain at CB is epic from what i've seen.
