I am from louisiana. I hate that place basically for the climate. You need gills to breathe down there.

I live in north carolina. The climate is tolerable and I like the warm lake water this time of year. ski season is pretty weak though.

guessing that atl? yeah because its a delta hub. when i walked through it in uniform, people were coming the whole way across the passage way to shake my hand.

and i ALWAYS get bumped to first class in uniform. even flying from JFK in ny. people just give up their seats. i couldn't refuse if i tried

mississippi is way to fucking hot too. its gets hotter than a hoochie coochie. its was 85 this morning at 7am during pt and HUMID as fuck. my truck said it was 90 before this crazy thunderstorm then it dropped to fucking 71 right when it started raining.

90 and humid, its only may!!!!! FML

yeah today here it was 55 and cloudy. This week has been crazy. One second it will be a cloudless day and then all of a sudden there will be a tornado warning and one of the craziest storms i have ever seen.

Umm yeah, no shit. I've lived here my whole life. It gets so hot its difficult to breathe sometimes. I don't even bother straitening my hair anymore in the summer, when its 95 degrees and a 100% humidity I might as well fuck myself. Even when you're in the shade it's still too hot.

speaking of easy girls in the south, this girl that i dig just called me and told me to meet her at the beach. the funny thing about it is she said bring a friend for her two friends and one is married and the other is like 6 months pregnant, GOTTA LOVE THE SOUTH HAHA

do you get the hand shaking alot? my dad who is a commercial pilot for delta said he makes a point to thank every service member who flies on his plane (provided he has the opportunity) do a lot of crews do that?

yeah almost every flight. even when not in uniform, they know somehow. and when its general admission, i board first.  the plane claps for me and/or the people i'm with. it gives me the chills

as for me i could not take living in the south just because of the climate. but having spent a considerable amount of time in FL and having cousins in GA. the thing that always gets me is the accent. i swear sometimes it seems as though we are speaking whole different languages.

but im from minnesota dontcha know. o ya you betcha.

and IMO thats how it should be.

last month i was in SLC's airport and a whole bunch of uniformed service members were walking through the terminal, and EVERYONE gave them a standing clapping ovation.

Hahaha, it is true, us southerns do have an accent. But it doesn't mean we're slow and stupid, we just have a different way of talking. I can't stand it when people assume because we talk different we must be retarded. People made fun of me as a kid because of my accent and now its gone. It usually comes out when I'm angry or yelling at someone. My boyfriend thinks it's cute and tries to get me to talk with my accent.

Yeah I have a gun rack in the back window of my lifted Toyota, but that being said, southern pride and country pride are two different things.  Just because u listen to Hank dosen't mean u have southern pride, so lets be real here, as a skier, I wouldn't be proud to be from the south. I'm very happy being a California redneck and being a couple hour drive away from 3 feet of fresh.
