09/10 vs 08/09 EP pros

So here is my situation. I need to get some new skis this year and really like the EP pros. I rode them in AK and they were the perfect ski for me. My question is this: Is there any difference between this years and last years model, besides graphics? i have heard the 09/10 ones are a bit stiffer. Any truth to this? and if so, how much stiffer? If they are the same i think i may get the 08/09 ones because i love those graphics so much, but if they are different besides cosmetically i will have to think this over more. Thanks

next years are 15% stiffer, but you cant even really tell unless your bombing down groomers

yes i would say 09/10 thats what im getting anyway, i demoed the 09/10 and they were a little bit stiffer then last years, but by all means they are still pretty flexy, i was bombing down groomers with 4in of chop and they were easy to handle.

cant even tell when hand flexing, only when shooting down groomers or landing in the park

so would you say the added stiffness is a good thing? or another way to say it, is the ski as good (or better) than this year's?

It's really not going to make a difference. 15% more stiffness isn't going to make the EPs charge on ice or awesome in the park. I ski the 08/09 EP Pros. They're a different type of ski, and you can't ski them like an Invader or any other park ski. You have to get used to them. I know people use them for everything, and they can hold up on hardpack or in the park, but that's not where they excel. Any type of ski can be used to ski in conditions it's not designed for. EPs are designed for jibbing and riding switch in untouched pow, making them 15% stiffner doesn't change that.

well, i love how buttery my 07/08s are, imo they are perfect, but for most people who are between bents and EPs get EPs!

yeah i have skied the 08/09 eps and loved them. best day on skis i have ever day was on those skis. I am just asking if i would be better off trying to get a pair from this season or next season given that i loved the ones from this year

Honestly, I think you could probably take one run on the 08/09 model and take the next run on the 09/10 model and not notice any differences other than the graphic. So I guess your answer would be go with either one and enjoy them because they're fun as hell.
