This is CRAZY.Sick editing, sick filming, sick song, sick tricks,DOPE edit.
10 out of 10.You usually don't see to many good tramp edits theese days.

you really made the edit good with the filming. the crane and dolly shots were amazing, really fun to watch! Not to mention the tramping was off the hook. Great work all around!

i thought it was really good when u had the dolly & crane shots going, not sure if that was just editing (didn't look like it) but it was still very good

i hate the music but the editing and shots are nice. one thing i didnt like was the speeding up of clips.

do you mean the changing of speeds in individual clips?

no shots were faster than realtime (other than the sunset obviously)

id say make it flow a little bit better to the song, like landing on the beat, thats usually the make or break edit for me

Yeah I thought it was pretty good, a few things need fixing though..
Beginning was fairly boring, too many shots of the water.. first shot where hes just doing a 180 to land on his back is money, just its held too long.. also the shot at :13 was fairly boring as well, it was kinda like watching a pro hit a small jump and doing a 3..may look alright but no one gives a fuck cause they cango so much bigger.
There were quite a few titles that were either too short, or too hard to read and I missed em..
Also try not to point the camera directly at floodlights, kills colors and shows any marks/dust on your lens..pause at 3:14
The sunset shot didn't seem to add anything to me..If you add in artsy shots you have to add in more than one, if not it just makes that shot stick out like a sore thumb


But seriously though, no hate intended in ^ any of that.. I thought it was well done so I actually took time to give you my opinion on an edit and I usually dont.. Hope that helps some?

And what camera and what shutter speed?

Thank you! that is exactly the type of critique I am always looking for.

It was a little difficult with the lighting because space was restricted to place the lights where I wanted compared to the actual camera placement.
The shots in the beginning are more or less just the only establishing shots that I had a chance to get and to work with (thats why they were held long/not banger tricks), but I agree,

Sunset shot was ideally supposed to be an actual full sunset to kind of show the transition from day to night- it was just a shot I already had because I didn't have the chance to get a more legit time-lapse.

I definitely will fix the little things in the next one I make, though.

again, thank you for such an in-depth constructive criticism- it is much appreciated.

oh and it was shot with an HV30. shutter speed was changed around a little bit depending on the shot, but it was pretty low for the most part

Yeah for some reason I knew you were going to say HV30, looked pretty good.. And did you make the dolly/boom?

Another thing that Ive learned in my short career was that if while editing something slightly bothers you, spend the effort to go back and fix it ha.. Its a pain in the ass but it'll make the piece so much better..

and how the hell did you get a private gym and be allowed to use all this equipment?

I bought the crane, and made the dolly and track.

the only problem in this situation was that I didn't really notice the subtleties until it was all exported and uploaded, at which point that would involve a lot of work.

I don't remember off the top of my head how much supplies for the dolly were, but it wasn't too expensive.

the crane is the Cobra Crane I by CobraCrane and I bought it from B&H

Awesome edit, amazingly well done. I can't give much advice on that, but on the tramp you guys had killer tricks, but most were relatively low, you can definitely go higher, so go for. Just make sure that you jump with your knees before your tricks too, because you had enough height that I'm assuming you were jumping with your ankles, but when you do your tricks you don't, and you could add another foot of height just doing that.
