Help me pick a vehicle

Infinity G35x (AWD sedan)

Audi A4 (try and find one with the sport package)

Audi A3 (hey a little room to store my skis in)

And any other cars you can think of that you might be able to find for 15k used with 50k miles on them......

It's summer time anyways...you guys have plenty of time for suggestions

but seriously can you give us a little more input on what you might want? I can tell you want AWD and with that you don't get better then quattro in my opinion. (yes I'm biased I have an A4 myself), do you have any other wants or needs in a car??


my personal thought and I know you have a millage cap so this probably won't work, I would get a b5s4 avant with decent millage and a 6sp, in nagaro blue and it would be an avant....

I like the A4/A3

But I really don't like the Avants with the hatchback.

I would just go with the 1.8t A4 or my friend has the A3 with the S package and its dank.

Hella fast and sporty but yeah i'd go Audi over the Infiniti.

Mazda speed3? not 4 wheel drive but fast, practical, hatch back..im lookin to get one used. check out the VW R32: 3.2 lite v6, super fast, 4 wheele drive, not sure if there are 4 door ones though. Mitsubitshi lancer evo VIII, fast!!!!! 4x4 (i think)...

you into any suv's?

ok. this would be WAY easier if you gave us a detailed description about what exactly you want to use the car for, if you value AWD, power, storage space etc.

your initial description was fairly vague.

Alright your gonna get a lot of repsones about Subarus. And theres a reason for that they fucking rock. If your looking for space get an outback or an impreza wagon. If you want speed get a Impreza WRX or STI. If you want speed and space get a Impreza Wagon WRX or a Legacy GT. Seriously they are awesome cars. They are very reliable and AWD is awesome in the snow. The reason I don't like Audi's is that they are somewhat expense to repair.

subaru outback wagon. practical as hell. can't beat the price. not very pretty but who cares? enough ground clearance that you never have to worry about rocks/curbs/etc. throw a ski rack on there, maybe a skidplate if youre that anal about your car getting fucked up on the way to the mountain. get the turbo though, N/A subarus are slow like mine =(

def get the a4 if the rear seats fold down much more room than the hatchback and you can slide ur skis through and if you have to put a roof rack on them id def go with the sti tho over the a4 if ur lookin at that but eveyrone on this site is all about subarus a3 is a pretty useless car real small to small for me

FYI maintanence and insurance will be a huge bitch with those Audis. They're not cheap to fix.

R32, then get a turbo. Brings it from 250 stock to like 360 w/ 314 lb/ft.

All that thing needs is a ski rack.

I want something big enough to fit 4 friends in and go to the ski hill. 4wd would be nice to be able to handle the snow we get in Michigan.

I want HID lights
I enjoy how the A3 / A4 / G35 looks with some 17" or 18" rims (even certain stock ones)
I want decent gas mileage. the G35 gets pretty "terrible" gas mileage. I would like to hit 30mpg on the highway.
I would enjoy a car with 200hp / 200lb torque at least. I am not a racer, but I would enjoy a car that did a quarter mile in yeah the 14.5-15 second area.


While I might modify certain aspects of the car (add a sub / amp, tint the rear windows), I am not looking at really doing anything special. MAYBE a cold air intake just for the sound of it. I enjoy luxury, smooth ride, roomy, dual climate controls, and a moonroof would be nice.

Volkswagen Golf Turbo Bio-Diesel can't go wrong with that engine and give a helping hand to the environment while your at it. Mine was a little sluggish but then I did a few inexpensive upgrades and now it rips and gets even better milage.

Yeah S-edition Audi's are pissy as fuck also, but way out of my price range, retail, insurance, and the gas they would guzzle.

A3's don't really give me much more cargo, but they sure as hell look pretty slick compared to an A4 wagon. While the A4 wagon will offer me tons of cargo. It loses all the points in style.

Honestly I love all the new features you find in luxury or "smart cars". The auto sensing windshield wipers, the keyless entry with push button start. Like I mentioned before, dual climate control, heated (even cooled) leather seats. Heated / cooled cupholders.

A4 / G35 seems to be a very logical choice as the used car market has a lot of these to be had, some of them with rims and other upgrades already since they are popular cars to modify. They also seem to fall right in to the upper end of what I want to spend. I am just hoping you guys can provide some nice solid arguments.

The only Suby I really enjoy at least from looks is the Legacy. I do think an Outback / Forrestor would age me like 10 years :)

Oh yes, paint is also kind of a priority. That Audi above had a nice paintjob. I kind of like a not so standard color, without having to go and get some candy paint thrown on.....
