Hello!

We hope everyone had a great winter!  Not a lot of snow here in the Mid-Atlantic, but the weather held out for a decently long season.  Now that most of the areas have closed in the USA, Park 1260 is getting ready for another awesome season of summer park.  Our first rail jam is coming up on May 17th at 5:00 PM, and I have included the schedule of events below.  We will not be building any new features this season, instead we will be concentrating on improving the park as a whole.  If you have any suggestions on how we can make things better, please let us know!

As always, we are looking for woodchips... like many many tons!!

What kind of surface is that? its looks kinda like perma snow


how much are you paying per sheet for that?

i might have to hit you guys up a few times this year.

It is a type of outdoor carpet, more similar to Astroride than Permasnow.

I had to buy a large piece, 100 square yards I think like $10 a square.

Great, it is always nice to see new faces showing up.

im not all that great i can only 270 off and learning switchups what will be set up and is it worth it if im going alone?

The setup for this jam is the 20' flat-box and the 24' a-frame-rail.  There are all abilities that show up, and the vibe is very cool.  Even if you show up alone you will not be alone.  It is always worth checking out, especially if you are not that far away.

The scene at the 1260 park is as top shelf of a backyard park as it gets.

think of what would be a cool back yard park and this one is better.

hmm...i suck right now ...i can't do switch ups and 270's on/out yet, but i got a summer set up and hopefully i can get better and make it to one of these. sounds fun and looks lik it too

We do have people that drive that far to get here.  I would say it would be more worth it at the end of the season when we have the comps.

skier150   should chime in, but yes, especially towards the end of the 1260 park season which ends in the fall.  The organizers have hooked up participants with all kinds of stuff for various categories.  I know season passes have been had.

It's a really good vibe there. go to the website and check it out, it is essentially a back yard park but professionally done.  I hope all that makes sense.  Go to hang out, slide some rails and have fun.

for sure, just like papa said... the comps are legit with multiple catagories and lots of prizes.  gear, passes, and swag to be had.

You are going to get wet for sure, and with the hiking you will be warm as well.  So were something light and water resistant if possible.  Helmets and goggles will work fine.

Friday?  The first comp is not until like September.

Usually we have guys, girls, and youth catagories for both skiers and snowboarders.

I was ready and willing to pay like 15-20 if someones letting me hit there set up thats fucking legit dude, yeah anything I could do to help when I come down there i'd be down.

i don't know chris' exact address, but check google for directions to blue mtn ski area, his place is less than 5 minutes from the bottom lodge at blue.
