Well, you see, in the later life, after each of us can no longer ski, we can cash in our karma for strawberry milkshakes.  The more karma, the bigger and better the milkshake.  I will make us sleep easy when our knees are too bad to walk to the bathroom to take a piss.

Karma on this website is fucking utterly useless. It has no real function, you don't gain anything by having more, and you don't lose anything by having less. There are people at the top of the 'high karma' list with damn near zero posts, no contribution to the site whatsoever. It's absolutely pointless, I urge someone to convince me otherwise. And no, I'm not bitter for having low karma, I made a thread asking people to bring it down to zero, and it was deleted mere hours later.
