Can they be dyed?

I want to pick up these holden pants (hate all you want), but i dont really like the colour.  Do you think these could be dyed straight up all black or even purple?  I would use like RIT dye but my concern is if the waterproofing would resist the dye.  Anyone tried before?

cant see it working with all the waterproofing and fabrics involved with ski pants.

You could cut a little strip from your old pants or a similar fabric and test it

this is not a bad idea at all if you do it right.

a friend of mine spraypainted some black holden pants with grey paint, and they came out looking like black and white tiedye...real dope!

It'll probably work. A while back my Dad dyed some pants and they came out fine.
