Hey man this should be in regionals but I just gotta say Bend may be one of the boringest places in the world besides for the skiing.

Went to school at COCC and lived there for 3 years, I suggest do it! Cheap rent, good school, tons of shit to do and Bachelor is fuckin fun, take my word for it. Plus the Herb is in good supply if your down

yes im talking about cocc and im really just goin there for bachelor so thanks guys. im gonna have to get ahold of them and look into it more

i have a bunch of friends that have gone there and they have all said they enjoy going to the school, as far as living in bend I've had very mixed reactions the people who have said they really enjoyed it are my very wealthy friend who's parents already have multimillion dollar homes there on the river making their life much easier. The others have not given the living situation such rave reviews. You'll be dealing with a bunch of California transplants there and yuppie pieces of shit. In the off season there is always mtn biking..

it looks like if you can put up scores in the low to mid 80's you'll be one of the top golfers on the team the and it still looks like you could make the cut with scores into the lower 90's

i remember something about a COCC freestyle team. im not sure if it ever picked up but it would certainly give you somethin to do. there are also a ton of hand rails in the parkin lots that could be used next winter. the OSU campus might get shut down though so make sure you consider and get more info on that

I was born in Bend. I went to COCC one winter to save money and Ski. The COCC on the Rock kicks ass but I heard it is really full this year. There is a ton to do in Bend. Obviously you will be skiing during the winter but realistically you will only be off of the mountain in the early fall and late spring. Go play Golf, Mountain Bike, Fish. Skateboard, or go swimming in the river. You will have fun.

I dont get why people hate on Bend? I dont really go to COCC but take a couple classes there in the Fall. I have lived in the midwest, So Cal, and in Tahoe and Bend is by far the sickest of those three. There is tons of stuff to do here. Like any other place fall is pretty much the boringest time of year. Golfing I hear is pretty good out here. I dont personally golf, but know a few people that are into it.
I was looking threw some magazine a couple years ago and Bend was rated in the top ten like best outside towns in the country or something. Theres just so much to do here. Especially in the summertime, and skiing is 2 hours away in the summer as well.
Also theres a very interesting mix of people for the size of the town. That makes it pretty unique.
Only thing I warn you of is I can imagine Bachelor would get very boring riding all year long. Its a pretty flat mountain, but then again I dont know what type of skiing your into.

ha everyone always says that but it makes traffic soooo much smoother. I could never imagine stop signs or stop lights in place of those round a bouts

haha i don't know why people don't like bend haha its such a fun town. i know that there isn't that great of a nightlife but the stuff to do otherwise is so fun and there is always something to do. and roundabouts do make the traffic so much smoother. bachelor is really fun too
