Cheap HD camera

I'm in the market for a new HD camera thats as cheap as possible but would still be good to shoot skiing with any ideas?

well fuck dude. if you could at least name your price range it would help...

"cheap" could mean anywhere from a coupple million to $0.01, depending on your financial status

you can get like a hand held Hd cam for like 150, if thats more the price your looking for you can like go to best buy i think

how so?
I know he didnt specify he was looking for a cam at all. But i know when i was looking for my cam if someone showed me a dslr with hd video recording i'd be all over it. I just thought maybe that would be more appealing than the hv20 or 30

All three of these have HV30s mentioned in them and even though they don't really say anything about the camera itself you can do research for yourself.   Google > NS for almost everything.

That being said, yes I believe you should get an HV30.  Who cares what I think though?  Find out!  Don't drop hundreds of dollars just because someone online told you to.  Do your research and find the product that is best for you.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just tired of seeing all these threads in Media/Arts.

dude i dont know if you know how bad the hd on a dslr is. at least on the d90 you cant autofocus or anything, the video (from what i hear, never personally used one) just doesnt do too well with action (choppieness).
