my shifter on my handlebars moves so its hard to shift? how do i stop it from moving?

ok i have two responses,
1. if youre just retarded, you take an allen key, and tighten the bolt on your shifter.
2. if its just worn down and just wont tighten, make a shim out of something... id say you need a minimal amount of space, so maybe cut a square from a pop can and slip it underneath.

free hubs were invented for a reason.

unless you have a specific reason for having a fixie then don't get one. singlespeed, yes. fixie, not practical.

thank you. i have a singlespeed as well as a fix. the fix is way more fun to ride, but it definitely isnt the bike i chose when i just feel like going for a ride.

ummm sell your bike and get a tricycle

no but really, your shifter has a collar on it with an allen screw going through either side, tighten that up and it won't move
