Entry-Level Longboards

'Searchbar'  Now get the fuck out of my thread.


I am looking for a pretty cheap board that will get me into the game.  I have no idea of what specs I would want to be looking for.

I am 145, 5'10"ish.  I want something to cruise around on the flats, I don't see myself doing any hills soon, but I would want a board that will let me do them. 

What kind of length/width am I looking at?  How hard should my wheels be?

Any sites that I can pick a sub-$150 complete would be nice.  Also, what brands should I look for / stay away from?


Sorry that this thread is more of a list of requirements, but I hope something productive can cpome out of it.

my friend makes them and he will sell it for 70 dollars
all different sizes
youd have to buy trucks and wheels which would be like 40-50 bucks

I ride a Sector nine and I love it. I got it new off of ebay for around 160-170. It is my first longboard and I feel they're pretty easy to learn on. However I rode regular skateboards in the past so I wasn't a complete newcomer.


I got the bingtang board from here ^ very flexy and fun to ride. I around your size just about 10 pounds heaview btw

I just bought my first board recently too. Got an Arbor Bamboo Blunt, liked it for a while til I started bombing hills and actually carving and shit... Then I kind of out-rode it, ability wise. So I modified it, new wheels and bearings, moved the trucks.. it's way sick now..

I guess what I'm saying is, even if you end up not getting "the right board for you" you can always change it and make it better.

Get a Kracked Skull, seriously the guy is very sick and you won't get higher quality wheels and trucks on an entry level board. Very Worth the price.
