lies. flaming lips is way better

any clear liquor tastes like death to me unless its mixed with something. vodka and redbull or oj. just drink whiskey like a man

It's hard to describe the taste of Gin because each one will be slightly different but what I percieve it to basically be, is a bit smoother tasting vodka with hints of juniper, orange, pine, etc infused with the liquor.

I personally am on a gin kick right now and need to get another bottle from some Gin and splash of Tonic.

the only way to know if you'll like it is to try it.

Ahhh the classic panty remover, Gin tastes like juniper berries, or remotely like pine.  The classy way to enjoy it is with tonic water and slice of lemon during the summer, or more modernly with juice (orange, or tropical mixes generally).  Gin and Tonic became popular with the british as it was believed that the quarine in the tonic would deter mosquitos and as such protect against malaria.  I enjoy it, grew up with it really.  It is somewhat an aquired taste though, and like whisky can have quite large variations in flavour between brands.

ive yet to put alcohol in it but someone try something with ginger ale and orange juice. it's good on it's own at least.

this may sound weird but my favorite beverage at the moment is lime twisted gin and yellow gatorade or poweraid. honestly the best combo ever no matter how much gin you can barely taste it.

Agreed, it's my personal favorite after a good cold beer.

Gin and gingerale is a good second choice.

Imo gin is the most disgusting thing on earth to drink by itself. I cant stand it. Mixed with tonic or something its alright but i still dont like it.

I don't know why everyone hates on drinking gin pure so much. I mean if the goal is to taste no alcohol, then you probably shouldn't be drinking anyways. Gin on the rock tastes quite good when you have a good gin.
And gin tonic + a piece of cucumber is just awesome

i love gin so much. it's one of those things pretty much no one likes first time but if you keep at it you'll get into it. you can make some great cocktails with it too

Gin is good for the summer months. Whiskys, bourbons and scotches, in my opinion, are prime for the cold winter months. Nothing hipster about any of it. And I do enjoy a few pbrs when my wallet is a bit thin.

alone it burns and isnt very good, however it is great with different fruit juices\

my fav is two rocks, gin and orange juice, i would go with a 1:5 gin to juice ratio, unless you go with a stronger juice like pineapple
