After a lot of soul searching, I've recently come to a difficult decision. I've devoted my life to skiing for over a decade, and to running Jibij for the past 6 years, but I've decided it's time to move on. I've seen an incredible amount of growth and change for our tiny segment of the sport, and I'm proud that I was able to be involved in it.
I was at the first US Open, where the athletes had to help make the jumps. Now we have the Dew Tour, which gives incredible exposure and pays better than any of the skiers at that first Open could have imagined. The level of skiing now is beyond anything I ever thought possible, and I'm excited to see where it will go. The technology boost in recent years has also changed skiing forever, and the advances in skiing will be amazing to see.
It was always a dream of mine to have a shop like Jibij, and I want to thank everyone who supported the store and allowed me to live the dream life. It gave me incredible opportunities and experiences, and I will always value them. I hope that I made a positive impact on the sport and helped it progress. It was a privilege to sponsor and work with so many incredibly talented people, and it's great to see so many people I started with making a big impact on where skiing is headed. The sport is in good hands.
I'm off to try something new, but I will still be skiing no matter where I go. I encourage everyone to follow their dreams, and remember to ski because it's fun.
