EA skiing game

First off, This isn't a thread asking why we don't have a skiing video game. My friend's dad works for EA and he is a pretty important person. He gets hundreds of ideas for video games each week. But I asked my friend if he would talk to his dad about a skiing game and he said he would, but not without some good ideas first. So, I thought I would let you guys throw some ideas in here and I would organize them and then give them to my friends dad.

Looks like a suped up version of the same engine 1080 used.

Not hating, but games like that don't impress me, the physics just look nicer, still just a dude on a board floating through the air and doing tricks. Doesn't really look natural, but that could just be me.

That's one of the main reasons I am making Jib Life, realistic physics, and not insane 3000ft drops where you can do 5 backies with an uncountable number of spins with 500 grabs thrown in.

Main reason why Skate was so successful, it gave skaters a skating game, not some overdone fantasy world where gravity just doesn't apply and everyone is a hyper gymnast.

I have stoked and it's actually pretty realistic. I've never spun over 900 i dont think, and I can only do 2 flips if it's one of the larger jumps in the game

Do a ton of research on ns so they get everything realistic, not like what some ea programmer thinks skiing is. Also afterbang is key, it could be like special in the old tony hawks or somethin

I was in my local HMV today and i stumble across a skiing game...... It's called "freak out - Extreme freeride" Has anyone played this game? Any good reviews?? if so i'm buying it

not bad.... its a lot of fun, not very realistic... only 3 grabs, but you can do all spins and shit... although eventually youll end up hucking like quad backflips and shit...
cool pow in it too, its fun to shred...


i still think id rather play SSX3 over any other skiing game and just shred the backcountry.

In general, i would avoid the over the top-ness of the SSX series, a much more realistic game would be much more fun.

definatly try to make it like skate controls so its realistic, and you should have options about what you wana do like ski comps like Dumon and going around getting sponsered and getting paid or slay most of the time like Wallishch and Henrik and jus go from mountain to mountain havin fun workin on style and afterbanggg!

 it should start you out at a single mountain and you have to try to hype yourself to pro.  Eventauly you'll win enough money and get enough sponser that you get sent on trips and can buy like heliskiing guides and shit.  you could like really mold you career and go into whatever aspect you want. East coast mountains would be more park driven while west coast it would be easyer to go into whatever.  Mountains like keystone or stowe would be park driven, while jacksons hole and alta/snowbird would be more backcounty.  THE snow totals should be realistic so like if it accauly is dumping in whistler it would be dumping in the game in whistler.  Realistic snow particals would be the most importain part.  You could trigger avalanches and die if you go out in bad conditions.  The whole point of the game is to make it pro so you can buy planetickets and ski trips to wherever.  Injuries could be somewhat realistic and death is possible.
