Replying to In state tuition for CU

I live in kentucky, and i ski perfect north... but besides that....

I am a junior in high school and i want to apply to CU engineering school and i have the grades and whatnot.

but does anyone know the requirements for becoming a CO resident.

I want to take a year off after high school, i will be 18, and i want to get a place (appartment, house or whatever), and work for a year until the next fall term...

anyone done this?? ive been trying to find requirements, but i cannot find many reliable resources...
