Best Snowmobile for Pow Skiing

So, I'm almost certain I want a SkiDoo, simply because they have service in my country and Artic Cat doesn't.

Now, considering I'm a begginer in snowmobiles, I weight 80 kilos (180 pounds), and want to reach high deep powder runs with a friend (can you fit two on a Summit?), which one would you recomend?

I don't want to spend too much, so probably I will go for a 2005-2008.

600 or 800cc?

150' or 160' ?

Any add ons?

Of course the main objective is skiing not just riding the bike

don't have much experience with mtn. sleds, grew up on the east coast with only trail sleds, but I've been looking to buy one for a while. a 600 is your best bet, 800 will just be too big of a machine for an inexperienced rider. Same goes for 16?" track, that will be huge and also a bitch to turn on trails. What im looking into buying is my friends old summit, he just put in a new 600 in and it has a 143" track. Thats probably areound the size you should be looking at  to start out with.

an old summit 800 will do just fine. the longer the track the easier it is go up steep and deep slopes. the longer the track the tougher it is to maneuver. make sure you get a riser bar on your machine. if you can get a new sled that would be the best bet. its like night and day between a summit and a rev. and plus you get warranty. trust me something will go wrong. sledding is not cheap, but is worth every penny!!

TGR could help you out way more with this. The only thing I know is that track length>cc's, in almost all cases. I also have heard sledding is incredibly addictive.

It looks SO fun.  I watch Nimbus edits and they make me REALLY want a sled.  When I have my own house and a good solid job, I will most likely buy a sled and take avy courses.  Right now I have to do good in school so 10+ years later I can get that sled!  Nimbus makes it look so fun.

What is your budget?

Sledding is INCREDIBLY addictive. I would recommend get the 160' track and 800cc between 04-08 doesn't really matter as long as its rev. You'll regret getting a shorter track because you will get addicted. It will be easier for you to get to higher places and in deeper snow with the long track especially with 2 people on the sled. Also make sure you get riser bars.

BUT if your main objective is skiing and you don't have a lot of money you'll be fine with any shitty old sled.

rev is the platform the skidoo summits are on, they came out after 04. $5000 should be enough to get anything from 04-06.
