Money back for textbooks?

So today I go to our book store at school and they decided not to buy back about 4 of my textbooks not because they were in bad condition of anything but because they said they werent using them next year. Now i paid over $400 for these books and I really don't want to hold onto them and it would be nice having the cash. Does anyone have any suggestions where to trade these in other colleges, online, amazon?

Thats really lame. My school better buy back all my books. I need to make bank off them. I would say throw them on ebay or amazon for sure. Someone will need the book in the future I would think.

search your school and see if there is a belltower books representative. They seem to take back a lot of stuff, they don't pay a ton more than the bookstore would, but they do give you straight cash

i got fucked over i spent about $800 for books and they wont by back most of them because they will not be reusing them, for the ones they did buy back they gave me about 1/4 of its price and they won't buy back my $200 math book still in the shrink wrap never used.

the bookstore wouldnt buy a few of my books last semester, so I waited for like 5 minutes and luckily there was someone looking for a book that i had so I sold it to them for $20. better than nothing I guess.

Just list them up on amazon.com or something. That's where i tend to look first for used books in my classes, and they are always cheaper than the newer versions.

yeah definitely list them here, i bought a bunch of books from half.com this year. its like the ebay for textbooks. that happened to me last semester too. college book prices are ridiculous i spent like 800 on books this semester and some of them we dont even use. next semester im gonna wait like a week before buying books and hopefully save some cash
