Critique my photos please (long exposure stuff)

not too experianced with long exposures but i like the way that they came out. first one is off the cam and second i messed around with a little in lightroom. tell me what ya think!

first one is ballin!

second one i think the left side is way to dark and its distracting. could have framed a bit better.

nice. Ever tried stars? give it a shot. use the lowest iso and f/ stop, tripod that shit and aim at the stars for an hour, or a few.
shits epic.

Nice those. keep messing around, you'll get great stuff.

Also try long exposures with water. I did a few 8 minute ones at a lake. Amazing.

whoops! in my original post, i meant that the FIRST one had been edited a little, and the SECOND is straight from the camera...

and i want to try some star ones but i need to figure out how to do it without my battery running out haha

another thing that is cool with long exposure is get a friend to write stuff in the air with glowsticks or sparklers. My girlfriends friend is all into photography and she took some pretty dope pics of them writing shit in the air.

The first two are decent, the first being the best; you've got something going their with the bumps in the shoulder. But honestly, i've seen too many like that. You kinda have to say "will the picture look any good without the light trails?" If it does, the trails will only improve it, and it will be awesome. Don't get me wrong, they're not terrible, but lack originality. Defintely look around for places that will benefit from light trails and shoot there. Sorry to come off like a harsh critic, but just voicing my opinion.

Not targeted at you, but i've seen too many people do stuff like this with no originality, just lights and that's about it. These types of shots can work really well, or just look rather amateur. I guess i've looked at a lot of photos while browsing flickr or other places, and i've seen a lot of good stuff, but also too much bad stuff. To people who haven't seen this technique often, it may seem cool, but it can get old really quick to those who have.
