Does your hill/mtn. care?

well, this may come across as a rant, and it may be...
but- for the past few years, the employess at our hill have been complete dicks. From checking only OUR tickets, to just being dicks, they just are dykes....

There is a group of 4 of us, that constantly ride at the hill, being Nubs Nob.
Cam wilcox (17)
Rockwell Nixon (17)
Hunter Arbaugh (16)
Durand Nixon (15)

all 4 of us just got back from Nationals, and are quite proud of how we did.
Rockwell won for hte 16-19 pipe group, Cam coming in 5th.
Hunter got 13th, and durand got 9th, both in the 11-15, out of 45 or so...

After our mtn. caught news of a few of us doing so well, they decided to care about us, or at least sound like it.
they publicized us in newspapers, and put us all over the cover of the website..

dude our resort wont build a park, ruins our backcountry jumps, and wont blow snow for our freestyle team jump hill. now they are douche bags.

At my local resort here in Norway, the crew and management only care about weekend warriors and slalom racers. This year, there was one groomed jump, which was only groomed the first few weeks. Then at the end of the season, they made three more jumps for a competition, but didn't care to maintain them afterwards. So basically most of the time there wasn't a single jump, and it has also been a really shitty season snow-wise, so BC wasn't much of an option either... next season better be pow-ful!

My hill is a really small midwest mountain.  The hill barely makes any money anymore so they don't feel like putting any money into a decent park.  The only reason we have a park is because of heavy support from the regulars.  We basically had to shape every jump ourselves and keep the jumps on to our 3 shitty boxes decent.  Also our landings only got groomed once this year /rant

jesus so true, last week a line liftie person threatened to pull my pass cause i slash some snow at the bottom and a friend's pass got pull because he brought his board in the lodge after his friends got stolen. no warning or anything, some manager pulled his pass and took his board until his parents got it

after lving here, and riding here everyday, it sux.
the guys are dix.
we were in the pipe, the day before we left for Nationals, the place was empty, and we were all doing FLATSPINS, 3s 5s what not.
they had 4 guys come up by snowmovbile to yelll at us about inverts, and we showed them on our camera, how our legs never went over our heads, and they say "you can get your ass out of here, and go to boyne"
...

so we did.

congratulations @ the comp!

My mountain actually cares. On almost any day employees wait by the stairs to help you with your bags. At the lost and found, they will let you borrow an item if you forgot/lost/or just need it for the day. Lifties are nice, except one (he slipped  his gum on my pass when he was checking it). At the end of the day they hand out free hot cider for you to warm up with.

some of the lifties at my mountain are total d-bags. I forgot my pass one day, and my condos on the mountain , so i asked if i could go up and grab my pass. I clearly had a pass because i was with my team and everything.  The guy says no,  and i walk like 5-10 feet to leave line and go to the pass office, to get a free day pass which took like 10 minutes. anyways after i walk the 5-10 feet the guy threatens to have me arrested for not having a pass on me. for walking out of the line.

my mountain cares once you're up on the mountain and actually buying tickets, food, etc. once you're gone, all they seem to care about is selling real estate. they don't care about their local season-passholders at all. they break even on average, and what they don't realize is that they're in the middle of freaking nowhere. the season-passholders keep them open.

^ i do hear what u mean, and i dont take it for granted, but, they never maintain the park, and its shitty at tahat, and never change it, and when they groom the pipe, they dont do a good job at all, dont take their tienm, and only cut it on sundays..

alpine doesnt groom the pipe, the lip hangs out over the wall and its got chunks of ice sticking out every where. he park is usually good, like that box on that hip was pretty fun this year, and 2 years ago when they had those huge ass kickers it was awesome
