Ok my boss asked me to help his brother pick skis hes 13 years old 6'0 and about 200 pounds (this is a big 13 year old) he rides all mt. this will be his first park ski sooo i need to help him choose. Im thinking something stiff... Chronics? Addicts? Walls? Suspects? Extremes? Or should he go with soft skis?
cross suspects off the list this kid is a pretty thick kid so there's a good chance he would end up breaking them. For the other ones I'm not really sure how much he does of each area on the mountain you just said all mountain so nobody is going to be able to help you out. If he does more on the mountain then park go with the extremes chronics are relatively stiff so those could be an option too. Walls are about 60% AM 40% park. Hope that helped.
Its usually good to start him off on a little bit softer ski. if the parks icy or he dosent feel comfertable trying things off jumps yet he can just play around with presses, nollies and butters. this year was my first year park skiing and i couldnt even do 3's in the begining of the year but now im stomping big 7's 5 tails and frontflips and whatnot. i had the 07/08 invader and i have to say it was the perfect ski. just my opinion though...
