Long story short, im convinced that i tore my ACL yesterday during my rugby game. Things swollen like fuck, cant bend it, etc. Decided that it would be a great idea to go out last night, which turned out to be alot of fun at the time, but not now. Went to the doctors today, x-rays came up negative so its not a broken bone. BUT they said they noticed a small chip missing from around my knee cap. They said this is usually the result of an ACL tear
My question, i know that the ACL is the worst of your knee ligaments to tear, but why?
also, if anyone has ever torn their ACL tell me about recovery and surgery experiences. Thanks
