the point is that anyone could learn a kangaroo flip this summer without knowing how to ski. then you go win comps without konwing shit. than there are more pros that can even film a segment. its whats ruining the comp scene, and newschool skiing. i never understood why people havent learned super steezy shit instead of hucked ass doubles.

give me my karma cuz i learned on the snow and with minimal little kid trampoline-ing. if you learn how to ski and progress at your own pace, you can learn every trick in the book on your own.

notice how there arent to many pros claiming in this thread? i was denied water ramping at lake placid one summer, and i watched everyone else try to spin to win.

It's kind of the beauty of NS that posts get made under aliases.  If it's done for humor, I'm all for it.   On the other hand; if people are posting stuff under an alias that they are too chicken shit to post from their real profile, because they are scared they are going to get their Karma dingged, that's just weak.  This thread is pretty solid.   Mad karma to Styne$.  If the person behind the alias lineskier_11, with the Armada Icon, is just gooning us.  Props to you to.  If you're serious, then I'd have to say:

Some one expressed an opinion that you disagree with. These are forums, so they are supposed encourage discussion and opposing views. How about you shut your fucking mouth and take it down a notch seeing as you don't even know this kid and I know for a fact he is a sick and steezy skier. But yeah, + Karma to those who don't use ramps, and extra plus Karma if you learn stuff on shitty features in bad light and icy conditions.

And superduper extra Karma to anyone who learns doubles on their first day skiing, in rental equipment, off a 60 foot cliff with an icy landing that is between rocks and crevasses and has a 10 foot stopping area with a no-fall zone and a 1000 foot cliff below, while talking on their cell phone.

this is my second year skiing and i tried double cork and landed once but barley and sketchy
i can cork 7 and front flip and linlon and underflip
ive never done water ramps
but will try water ramps this year

ive never used one to learn anything or tramps.  i learned flips and rodeos without them...then didnt do one for 3 seasons.  until this year when i tramped for one day then started flipping again.

but i will probably hit up the water ramps here this year.  shit looks fun.

No you wouldn't. Water ramp is 10000000 times harder than snow jumps.

Anyways, we all have to remember that its the real talented park skiers who have the style and who can ski pipe well. Those are by far the 2 hardest parts of park skiing.
