alright so i was looking at this old bookshelf, and i notice all my redwall books from like 6th and 7th grade.

I starting thinking about all the memories from those books, they were so sick!

i fucking LOVED those books haha. oh, and today i learned something about redwall that blew my mind. The book Pearls of Lutra is about this otter tribe. while studying for my AP bio exam, i found out that the scientific name for the European Otter is Lutra lutra. Good god.

We had a program called AR in my Middle school where we read books, took short tests and got points. Anything obove the required was bonus. I read all these books and took tests on them and got like 140% in my 6th grade English. Oh they days when school was as easy as reading a childrends book...

ye i think i have almost the whole collection, the most badass one was the one where the badger fights the cat and the hare whips spears with mad style.

Redwall shaped my world as an elementary schooler. The badgers were so badass. I wanted to be a shrew though, those guys just chilled and boated around and did whatever they wanted.

HOLY SHIT i completely forgot about mole talk hahaha, i liked the ferrets though cause i really wanted one at the time

and shit i read these books in like 6th and 7th grade, i had no idea how far behind my reading level was......haha

also one time me and my mom made scones, because thats what they ate in redwall

does anyone else wish they could have feasts like in Redwall? their food sounds so good, even though they don't eat meat. i vote that NS has an official Redwall Feast to kick off the 09/10 ski season. I'll bring the Turnip and Tater Deeper 'n Ever Pie.

I liked the moles best, by the way. so civilized, but not afraid to get their digging claws dirty, (harharhar)

Anytime I hear anything about tubers or pasties I still think of Redwall... I think I even tried once making some sort of honey oatmeal scones like in the books.

I would definatly have wished to be a hare... fucking eat a ton, always chillin in the kitchen, but kick some ass when need be.

Just remememberd that had come out.

Wow, it's like I just got slapped with nostalgia. I haven't thought about those books for years, but I read every one of them when I was in elementary/middle school. Now I kinda want to go back and read them again. Thanks for this thread.
