COC or Windells

so ive already been to windells, and i LOVED it, but im wonderin about camp of champs, it seems reallly sick.. it just more... wich one should i make an attempt at going to?

I'll get it out the way. The best camp is this one called Searchbar blah blah blah.

In truth though, COC has the better park, its own lodgings etc, and you can do what you want afterwards. But Windells has private tow rope(s) so no queueing or hiking. And then you've got to look at the quality of the coaches etc. Its all about what you're in to really.

Statement #1: COC has a better park.
WRONG.
Have you ever been to Hood in the summer? With a mixture of Windells own park, the public park, and MHSSC park that they will let you use if you help them out, it's ridiculous to say that COC has a better park.

Statement #2: COC has it's own lodging.
KINDA TRUE.
Yeah, they have their own lodging, but so does Windells. Windells also has like 5 skateparks or something insane like that, paintball course, tramps, BMX trails, editing lab, ect. They have an insane set up.


Basically, they're both great camps. Personally I feel that Windells has much better coaches and always seems to have a better vibe surrounding it, but choose based on your opinion.

Ok, so maybe the 'better parks' bit is just my opinion, but theres so many factors to take into account, travel, cost, atmosphere, facilties, etc, there's no real definitive answer.

Currently the exchange rate is like 1 USD to 1.20 CAD.
So it's not all that great.

Plus if you calculate the extra expensive of an international flight and passport, it doesn't seem all that cost affective, especially when you could get essentially the same thing at Windells.

Or maybe 630's out if your lucky.

So basically no, if your not a camper there or your not pro. your not getting in.

Hey Big_Spence,

Graeme from the Camp of Champions here. I think that if you have to combine Windells park with two other parks to come to your conclusion, it says a lot about our park and somewhat undermines your argument. However it is ultimately a personal choice and I just wanted to add a little more food for thought.

i dont think ones really better then the other, either way your porbably gonna have a great time, i have only been to COCand i have had some of the best weeks of my life their, so either one you choose im sure youll have fun

I personally think that windells has a much better Park - Obviously - cause i work there


Seriously what makes a good park - biggest jumps longest rails? or good Flow, or is it a lil of everything, or is it weather.

Windells has 120 foots hips - 80 foot jumps
Windells has Flow - 3 lines - Rail Gardens - private tow - no hiking
Windells has Better Weather - More Sun and More Snow....

do that math.

I would say that a wide variety of well maintained, progressive features with good flow make a great park and that what we've become known for. We tried the big jumps a few years ago, but asides from bragging rights, they're really only functional for pros and photos shoots. Plus they take up a lot of space that could be filled with more features aimed at helping campers take it to the next level. However Subaru_Jibber and I could go on for days about who has the better park, but we're obviously a little biased.

Ultimately it's up to you and if you haven't been to either park, all you can do is check out all the photos and videos of the parks at every camp, talk to campers and decide for yourself.
