Turf necessary???

Ridiculous

I was wondering if you just use normal carpet instead of using turf and spending money because i have a shit load of old carpet that i could use if it works.

I think you could use regular carpet and either use snowgel on it or a biodegreaser. I have this stuff that I use to clean my bike which is basically just like dish soap that won't kill your grass. You could spray some of that stuff on the carpet and I bet it would slide great.

I just got turf at lowes and it was 40$ for 3 feet wide, 30 feet long. It works perfect though ive never tried carpet

ok so i just tried out my tarp and my turf. my run in is kinda steep and i didnt even need water to make it to the end but it worked much better with water on it. the tarp is a bit slower than the turf but works great and even better with water. i would go with the turf and tarp combo cus its cheap works great and all you need to do to maintain it is add a little water every 5 runs or so. just fill 2 buckets or watering cans for that. the only problem i see with this is how the water eventually soaks through the turf and makes a muddy mess.
