Drop in ramp with rollers

I have been thinking about creating a drop in ramp made of rollers. I am going to use bearings and the ramp would be easy but.......... Im not too sure what to use for the actual roller part, if anyone has any ideas or experience with this topic it would be appreciated. thank you.

i was also thinkign about this and was going to use PVC but then decided to just put the PVC down but not have it role and there slick enough you would still get enough speed

ya this is what i was thinking of doing with mine. i was thinking pvc rollers but like you said stationary pvc would do the trick too. i can't say from experience, but either way i think you'd be fine.

on the downside, you lose some mobility cuz there's no way you'll be able to change your direction when sliding down the pvc

An easy way to make rollers is to buy a 1 inch wooden dowels, slide it into the pvc, an the pvc just rolls oround the dowel.

when they do the dna rail jams the us the rolers... you should see if you could contact someone from dna and find out how you could do it.

exactly. definitely be mindful of the loss of mobility. make sure your setup is perfectly level because any slight tilt will push you to one side or the other

i bet if you built the outside of the ramp, and connected it with 2x2's with PVC or any round pipe around it they would roll.

what if you wrapped the rollers in turf or something, then wouldn't you get back most of the mobility?

my drop in has pvc rollers and it works pretty sick.  all i did was make what looks like a fat latter and slid pvc pipes over the rungs
