Yes.

I did. My wife hardly skis at all. She never skied a day of her life before we met. Went a few times over the years. Funny thing is, she knows everything about the ski scene, and most importantly, she understands my sickness and obsession with skiing.

Sometimes I wish I could get out more often with her, but overall, it is not really a factor and it is nice to have something of your own to fall back on.

guys, the vast majority of girls can not keep up with you or even find it enjoyable to lap the park. trust me, i think for the most part you want to marry a non skier. i am going to.

Either she has to shred or she has to be very understanding of me being gone a lot in the winter months. If she is super hot, is a good cook and gives good massages, then I don't want her to ski. Just want her to be waiting for my return.

Skiing with your wife everyday would suck, skiing is all about getting up into the mountains and getting out of the real world...so yes!

Learn to have a life out of skiing 15 year olds, it's good for you.

hell yeah, i love it that my girl dosent ski. when you live with a woman i think you have to have interests outside each other, or else you drive each other nuts.

skiing is my time to hang with the guys and not hear any shit about it.

I think skiing adds about 1 to 3 points on a 1 to 10 scale on how attractive a girl is.  I think its even more funny how with skiing it is hard to tell how old people are in ski cloths.  I don't know, I have a hard time telling how old girls are even when their not any more.

not that im opposed to being with someone that skis or snowboards, but if she doesnt, then its not such a big deal as long as shes accepting towards my love for skiing

this, completely. but i could go for a snowboarder just fine.
BUT we don't always need to be with the same crew - if he wants to be with his boys for the day that's fine with me, im sure i'd want to be with some of my friends too. and i also need MY days.. maybe it's just me but i love just cruisin around alone sometimes.

yes and no.

I love spending as much time as possible with my girlfriend, she may not love skiing as much as I do, but she understands my passion.

She does hit rails though!

...bottom line, I'd marry a non-skier, but I wouldn't take the "winter sun" or mid winter beach vacations.

Well i like skiing with my friends.
but idk about with girls, nothing against girls just idk if i was married or had a girlfriend id want skiing to be guy time. you know? just my personal thing with my buddies or just me.

Well I’m 34 and happily married to my wife, and a father of an 8mounth old boy. Skiing is a big part of our relationship, and one of the things that we really enjoy to do. We have in the family a little cabin in the mountains of Norway where we go 2-3 times each winter – Here we focus on being together as a family and just skiing together and having fun. My wife rides Telemark on some volkl race carvers, so these are times of just cruising for me. Then we have a deal where I go to Austria on my own in feb. to be an instructor and slay the hills with some friends, this gives me an chance to do my thing and it is good for the relationship. So there is still a chance to mix relationship, family and skiing. I just can’t wait until my son can join us on the hill. This winter we tok turns babysitting him at the cabin.

Some of the best memories we have together have been of skiing holydays. And I’m looking forward to many years of good times in the snow with the family.

All in all – get you self a skiing girlfriend.

well my gf is a boarder, not too much into park. but (although i ride powder a lot) shes a better pow rider. like she hikes a lot (i was with her once, scary shit) and rides very well. not too much speed, but show me a girl who does it with speed.

not a chance. Skiing's important to every aspect of my life, including long term relationships. That being said: I'd rather have a guy that didnt know a thing about skiing/snowboarding, than be with someone who skis worse than me.
