Nordica boots hurting shins?

So i have a pair of nordica enforcers and over this season they have literally destroyed my shins and given me shin splints. my friend says he has the same problem with another pair of nordica boots, But my mom says its because i ride park to much. just wanted to see if any of you have had the same problems.
and yes i do want to get a pair of full tilts for next season.

more than likely its not your boots!
they are probably not the rite size for your foot man! go to a boot fitter and get ur size checked!

yea i did that. i went straight to the rep from colorado and they fitted me with them and everything

hmm well maybe noridica boots just arnt for your feet, like fulltilts arnt for wide feet!
idk! just try others on and see how they feel man!

i have the supercharger ignitions(green) and i would get some pretty gnarly shinbang. then i got a pair of hot doggers and havent had any pain with them yet besides my ankle bones, but 15 minutes at a shop to punch the boot out they are perfect.

YOU WILL GET SHIN SPLINTS WITH ANY BOOT IF YOU LAND BACKSEAT


I've ridden Salomons, Nordicas, and Heads all professionally fitted for the last 3 years. I've gotten shin splints in all of them. That's because I landed backseat.


There's nothing you can do. Full Tilts, Booster Straps, Shintronics, and foot beds will not stop you from getting shin splints.

yea. i just put that full tilt part in there so that i wouldn't get a bunch of replys saying get full tilts

I used to ride with Nordica easy move 10's (quality boots, obviously) and I got shinbang like a bitch. Then i got full tilt's, and well... I'm sure you can finish the story from here

Yes they most definitely were. My foot would slide around in the boot when i skied. But it is very hard for me to find boots in my size. I wear a size 15 street shoe, and my foot is REALLY narrow.(I have long toes haha). It was the only boot in my "size" (length wise) that they had. I think it was something ridic like a 32. Even still I had to get the largest size that FT makes, 31.0 and have the shell blown out to make room for my massive toes. Even still, if I case a jump really hard I get some minor toe bang. Damn my feet.

I have nordicas, you see what i did was wrap my feet in bubble wrap before insertion into aforementioned boot. It works great....I just pop and crackle like rice crispies as i ride down the hill but it aint no thang.

get some full tilts. they are heat moldeed to the exact shape of your foot and leg

I got a pair of spk's this season and I had the same problem at first but eventually they broke in and didn't have any shin problems really after that. maybe you need some more time in your boot

you all can say what you want but what i have found is if you cut out retangles of egg carton bed foam and stuff it in ur boots you will not get shinbang. i know sound retarted but worked all seaason for me

eventully the foam wears out then yoou cut out more

I've been riding on this years Nordica Ignitions (Blk/Wht) and i haven't had a problem with shinbang at all. I did have some problems at first, but i adjusted my boot like played around with the alignment and took out the spoiler and i havent had any shin problems since. But i also haven't been landing backseat that often this season either, its been one of those very rare seasons where i've been landing everything over my feet pretty well.

i have nordicas and they work fine. i got a little shinbang for a while, picked up some booster straps and now im fine, unless i land horrifically backseat

nordica liners pack out after about 30 days leaving more space for shinbang to occur. Try some footbeds and booster straps. this was probably already mentioned but i didnt want to read all the posts haha

I have had Nordica boots too and although they fit like a glove, I found when I do get shin bang from landing bad the foam on the front is so firms it makes it feel twice as bad. The shape of the foam also doesn't seem to distribute the pressure of the skin too well, leaving more at the shin bone than the sides.

I currently use a pair of Salomons that have gel on the front which relieves a lot of pressure and allowing me to ski with skin bang without taking large amounts of advil.

alright well then it's more than likely your boot, talk to a boot fitter and see what other type of boots they say would be good for you.

I think the Nordicas may not be the boot for you. I use the green ignitions and have never ever had a single shin bang.
