UMass Amherst

Anyone go or know people who go to UMass.  I was wondering if there are any freeskiers there and if they have anything setup to get to the mountains.  I've got a place at killington (2 hours away) so I could go there sometimes but Mount Snow (1hour 45 minutes away)  has much better parks and don't know if day tripping alone that far every weekend is an option.  UMass is my cheapest option so I want to know all it can offer for skiing, I visited and couldn't find anyone who knew anything so maybe some fellow newschooler knows what's up.  Thanks for the help.

By the way I am probably headed to UVM which is awsome but a bit more expensive.

I don't go there but there are a few skiers there, and mount snow is not nearly an hour and 45 minutes from there...I live outside of hartford connecticut and it takes me like an hour and 40 to mt snow

I'm from Northampton and the majority of my high school class goes there and I've never heard of much of a skiing culture there. But I mean skiers def go there, I think Mike Thomas from Freeskier is actually an alum and Mt. Snow is only an hour away. And I did a google search and found a site for their ski and ride club but I don't know how legit it is

i know there's a kid on here that goes to umass, i think his username is sb (?). and his pro says he skis at sunnapee and ms.

umass is about an hour and 15 tops to mt snow if u know the roads

i think i might know a few skiers at umass, i'll ask them about the ski distances etc if i get a chance.

I'd help you myself since i go to school like 30 minutes from there, but thanks to my school's no cars for freshman policy, my ski season was effectively killed.
