i'm not sure how many newschoolers have a facebook and use facebook mobile but its an application on facebook where you give them your phone number and basically just check off boxes(personal messages, status updates, wall posts, friend invites, etc) and whatever you checked off facebook will send you text messages with the information in which you can text back and it appears on facebook. its useful if you dont have a computer or if you dont want to exchange phone numbers with someone. well i was just considering the many uses of it here at ns. the buy/sell/trade forum would be much more convient because you could get quicker responses through pm(example: someone pms you about an item and you are at the mountain and you text them back which appears in the form of a pm on ns), you could set it up so if you create a thread you can get the responses sent to you and you could send responses back, you could get status updates of important events like JOSS or media related releases like the new level 1 movie trailer or something. i mean i'm just throwing it out there because actually creating something of this magnitude would be extremely tedious(if even possible) for the moderators of newschoolers. but if it is possible it might give some bored mods something to do over the summer? and do fellow ns endorse this idea?
