what was skiing like in the 70's i am doing a project for school and i need to research this please help for all you ppl that lived in the 70's idk

check out warren miller's snowriders, it's an early 90's movies but has a section on 70's women's skiers. If nothing else, you will get a good laugh.

Mountains were only invented in 1985, so there was no skiing. Skiing was invented in 1993, when someone with really big shoes went outside when it was snowing, and instead of falling on his ass, his slid down the hill outisde his house.

As he was sliding, a car veered towards him, and, dodging it, jumped onto a nearby handrail for safety, and jibbing was born.

haha, thats a good one. also in higher grounds i think it is has a section on some 70s skiing. I do know that since they had really long skis they had to lift their inside ski when skiing. also skis were wood and had leather bindings. if you go to the library you can usually find a lot of movies on some pure gaper skiing, and you'll get a good laugh :)
