Building summer set up

So I'm thinking of building a summer setup rail and need some advice.
What materials u use for the rail section (what kind of pipe??). And how much it's gonna cost.
How high the speeding tower (sorry my english, but you get the point)

build a frame like thing with legs and a 2b by 4 on the top screw down some PVC for ur rail

drop in depends on how big of a hill you have

I'd like to know what material I should use for ''carpet''. What material slides well enough?? Is fake grass good enough?

about four feet for hte drop in ramp is usually enough, i recommend astro turf (fake grass), just water it down and put some soap and it works nicely, then for the rail definetely use pvc pipe, its cheap, slides well, durable and if it does break it's easy to replace. good luck

for the material on the drop in, i'd go with some plastic lattice, then for the tranny some outdoor carpet for control/ speed check. and for the rail, whatever u can find for cheap or free. I got some metal pipes for free from my dad's work, but otherwise, i would have gone with pvc.
When I built my box, i did a frame kinda like this:

on the top i put uhmw, but u could go with hdpe (both r expensive and if u wann make a box out of pvc use the same basic frame as the rail below, just wider...) and for the copin i used pvc rails

and the rail, like this:

(This is not me, but i build mine almost the same)

Thnx for all responses they REALLY helped me out. I'm gonna do the setup with my dad, who is really good with his hands. Gonna send some pics when am done :)

for the carpet id use snowgel, its meant for stuff like this and it wont ruin your skis, you just put it on a carpet and go. go to www.snowgel.com

only problem with snowgel is that it is super expensive if you plan on using it everytime you sesh. the most economical and best quality for price would have to be simply soap and water
