so basically i just realized alot of peoples lives are involved with canabis or weed or at least mine is... i mean i just smoked weed a little while ago, all my friends smoke weed or at least have.. my parents have and im pretty sure my dad still does, my friends went down to myrtle beach and all last week instead of talking about how awesome its gonna be to go to myrtle beach, they talk about how sick its gonna be when theyre ripped and chill on the beach.... i didnt go anywhere and since its gonna rain all week here in rochester im prolly gonna smoke weed all week... plus 4/20 is on monday so im gonna smoke some more and im sure a ton of people are. it might just be me or because its around 4/20 but it seems like alot of the threads on ns are about weed in general... was i in the twilight zone or does basically everyone smoke? i mean it sure seems like it is seeing as how in the non ski gabber everyone talks about weed, does that mean anything other than skiing is about weed... or does it mean that skiers in general smoke weed?im not complaining about anything i just feel like i was living a lie or something... ... idk i just watched that movie the business of getting high or whatever and it feels like it had a huge impact on my life cuz it got me thinking. i mean it doesnt seem like a big deal but in our society i guess it is. when we have a choice to talk about anything in this thread and its alot on weed. idk its just puzzling thinking about all this shit.... any thoughts?

sparknotes: it feels like weed is more important than i thought in my life or is it everyone lives?

I don't think weed turns the volume down on anything for me but it affects me differently, I tend to talk incessantly and it just makes whatever I'm doing way more intense.

but otherwise I completely agree. although sitting around is ok sometimes. I'm never going to grow out of it, ever. it just fits my lifestyle way too well. I also own a vape.

Some people have to go to rehab when the get caught smoking weed. Instead of paying a fine or going to jail some first-offenders will get rehab as a "punishment".  But seriously i know what you're saying my friend is going through some pretty bad opiate withdrawals right now

i used to smoke alot, but now i hate it.. i hate being lazy and doing nothing productive and thats all it does to me if i smoke it.. but i like your point alot, that is soo true, alot of these threads in non ski gabber are about weed... there are alot better and more interesting things to bee talking about than weed. haha. but im not hatin' on anyone who smokes.. just saying i dont to do it myself and that there is alot of potential for  conversations on here about stuff that really matters (=

Tomorrow I will get to see one of the greatest spectacles in the animal kingdom, a day when thousands of humans from all across the globe will collectively ditch class, call in sick, grab the nearest hitchhiker and congregate on a field to collectively break out a lighter, and, in unison, light a plant on fire so that their minds may be altered for a few hours.

That just feels so... anticlimactic. I guess the rush on the nearest Taco Bell is what the fuss is about.

cheers to that brother. i rely heavily on the notepad on my phone. I smoked and took my car to get it's 30,000 mile checkup and took notes on the car dealership while i was sitting there waiting:

Cannabis is such an amazing plant.  It's an extremely sustainable plant that is great for the soil it is planted on and it has medicinal value.  There is nothing more satisfying and stress relieving than after a tough day of school or work to sit back and smoke.  If you don't like smoking, then you can eat it or vaporize it.  When I'm pissed off, nothing helps me calm down than smoking.  If my back is spasming, nothing helps more to calm it down than smoking, if i'm naucious, nothing but the combo of a vape session and some dank mint tea helps, if i need a new angle/idea on a subject because i'm stuck nothing helps more than smoking,.



and lets not forget about it's cousin plant, Hemp.  Help could save the world if legalized.


Finally, nothing beats blazing with friends at the top of a run with three feet of powder waiting to be slain and music bumping in your head.

way to be nitpicky about it. i meant hemp.

but, going off what you (and i accidentally) said, hemp would help to save the wold's resource problem.  it has soooo many uses it's unbelievable.in france the borgoisie (sp?) used to eat it to sustain themselves in times of hunger, it is a great alternative for feeding livestock, our constitution was written on help paper so it's great for paper too.  It can also be used as a fuel, rope (it has one of if not the strongest natural fibers known to man), clothing, and helps regenerate less-firtile soil.  All this is just off the top of my head (and that's saying a lot since I am a stoner and have no short-term memory right?).

Ive done a bunch of different drugs and im not a heroin addict or crack head but just a stoner, I dont see what the big deal is about smoking a little tree. Theres alcoholics who are most of the time out of control because they are drunk, junkies who are either to fucked up to do anything or when they're not fucked up they are feigning some bags and going insane. My simple point is that being a stoner really isnt a bad thing you may get a little lazy over time but compared to the other "diseases" or addictions out there its nothing.

I'm in the Navy and obviously, we get drug tested a little too much but not a day goes by when me or one of my buddies mentions pot. I wish I could still smoke like I did back in the day. I wish the arguement of drinking vs smoking would click in the some politicians heads. Alcohol can be such a terrible drug and the cause of A LOT OF CRIME. It's a fact. I'm not saying soldiers in the middle east should be smoking pot but on off time. It's no fucking harm. At all.

There is a legal shit too smoke. Won't share it on here. I have shared it with a few people on here though through PMing.

its an extremely expensive hobby but only if you turn it into a hobbie. That should never happen. I tend to blaze when I have literally nothing to do, so that when i'm just sitting there lurking NS it's a little bit more fun. "Smoking weed" or being high, should never be an activity within itself.

damn well spoken jack. i couldnt agree more. it is a lot different now that i have to balance smoking weed and actually making legitimate time to be productive and do work at school, the joint after finishing a shit load of work makes it that much more rewarding to me

Are you kidding me? Smoking weed is possible on the tightest budget. It's really not that hard. Learn to use a 1 hitter if your that cheap.

I doubt your ridiculously frugal all the way around. tehres money that you waste that you could save and still smoke.

as a few people said... Beautifully said. ive been thinking about this a lot lately because since about halfway through summer i decided i dont like blazing with others unless were doing something (skiing, biking, going somewhere, just not sitting around being high) blazing alone is much much more enjoyable imo.

and if you got hookups and buy in quantity+quality its way better, that way you dont have to buy as often either. unfortunately i have somehow smoked over an o in the last 2 weeks, well i guess not unfortunately

What's wrong with it? Other than the harm from inhaling burnt plant materials, which is minimal at best with marijuana, it's really not bad. And if you get a vape, you pretty much make that part almost non existent.

XTC can be a pretty awesome experience. Had some amazing times, never will do it again though. And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Or at least if their going to do it too be safe.

As far as it not working, just because you got bunk or extremely weak shit, doesn't mean E doesn't work. Believe me it does. IF you get a solid molly roll, you'll know it. And you won't just feel buzzed.

Nothings better than coming back home, going down to my basement and ripping my bong. It's the most relaxing and stress relieving activity. Also if I ever feel nauseous, feel sore, have a headache or can't sleep I just snap a pack in my bong and I'm feeling pretty nice.

I'm an artist and I'm also in Advertising. you guys wouldnt believe the amount of people in advertising that smoke weed. A lot of the ideas you see for commercials on Television, in magazines, on the radio are thought up by people who have been smoking. Since I do abstract art aswell it helps me think even more outside the box. I've never smoked just to be high, usually I do it for a purpose, like that guy said before if your just doing it to get high your being wasteful. You should be putting that time to good use, using your brain to function in different ways and produce different thoughts.

I don't smoke too often but I can say that weed has changed my life for the good, it's made me realize my personal growth and how I can keep becoming a better person. It made me realize that's one of our main purposes as humans, if your not improving yourself then your life is being wasted and your not really doing anything good for the world. Next time you get high try and think about your own life and you will be amazed with the thoughts it provokes and the ideas it will give you to change.
