You got it backwards. A lot would be wrong with the world if he is selected..

Austin is too old according to the rules..  Apparently he turns 17 on 4/20 - The rules state:

  • You must be from the United States or Canada.
  • You must be No Older than 16 on May 3rd 2009
  • All entries must be submitted through (put direct link to NS mini site here)
  • Edit must be 1 minute or less NO Exceptions!

    • Futhermore,  just to add insult to injury, his entry has the best editing of his tricks however,

  • There is no set list of criteria just show us your best side (Remember it is all about having fun!)

    The judges are trusting that kids read the rules and they don't lie. Thats funny. Most kids read the rules and they certainly would never lie about their age to win a trip to an epic place like Mammoth, now would they?

    Imagine how all the runner ups would feel if someone was selected that didn't meet the rules?  Is it better to have one unhappy kid or all the other contestants and audience  unhappy?

    Call me a fuck wad or douche nozzle or  being on the rag.  I don't really care, because the larger majority is probably thrilled that someone is stepping up and calling out those in the top rated. The top edit of that girl probably should not be in there either.

    , Look, who cares if he's a week too old.  That doesn't change the fact that he throws down as hard, if not 10x harder than any of the other kids in this competition.  The thing is, it's really not up to us, and this competition has been bullshit from the start.  It is just who soloman wants to see out there, that is the only thing that matters.

    Who cares?  How about all the others who entered? In my opinion, it is comments like this that hurt your friend who you are trying to help? One week, one month, one year, one day - where is the line?  The line is on May 3rd, why is that so hard to understand?

    Furthermore, how can you possibly bad mouth the fact that Salomon is affording 5 kids a once in a lifetime opportunity to win a trip to Mammoth to ski a world class park?  They make it clear that they choose from the top rated. Would it be better that they not give any trips away?  I doubt we will see this contest again and that is a shame, all because of bad mouthing haters like you after the fact. The only thing that is bullshit is your attitude of hating on this contest.

They are going to make the best move they can for their company.  It's just business. Now, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. 

    FURTHERMORE you didn't enter the competition, so why do u care so much?  i don't even understand why i care so much right now... gah, i'm getting all worked up....

    as far as people getting pissed off with the outcome of this competition, look back at the other rounds.  no one has ever been satisfied with them. 

    p.s. don't call me a hater cuz i'm not.  obviously i support this competition otherwise i wouldn't even be wasting my time with this.  keep ur judgements to yourself.

    werdd...  she 5'd and front flipped the last jump at MSO. around 65' I guess.  both shots are in that edit. She regularly flips and spins the 50+at Big Boulder. too bad there isnt another week cause what would be really cool is if Steven and her were both selected since he knows most everyone already.and she is really quite young and they already ski together all the time. I bet she would double if they did go together because of his egging her on all the time.

    You are correct, he has already been there.

    At the end of the day it was Nick Goepper from Lawrenceburg, Indiana who won the coveted trip to Mammoth. The top three winners were only separated by a few votes each and the level of competition was amazing! Nick’s favorite part of the day was...................................
