Line Invaders 09 All mountan/Groomers Questions?

Hey guys I have a few questions about the 09 line invaders since I have considered buying these and may do so. First off, I like to do both park and all mountain almost equally, but don't have the kind of money to be spending on better all mountain/terrain park balanced skis. I really like the price of these things and most of my friends do park so I am very eager to get my hands on a first pair of twins. I prefer boxes/rails before jumps and I wouldn't be hitting any enormous jumps in the near future. I'm a beginner park skier and i've still been questioning whether these skis are good for me to start on. I'm 5'7'' 115 and live in New England so I won't get to see much powder. Thanks for the help!

I'm not too sure how the Invaders handle outside of the park, but Invaders seem like the skis for you in the park. Maybe check out the AR6's or Anthems?

I've checked both of those skis out and they are out of my price range although they may be a better fit for me. I have the option to the invaders at an amazing deal so I may just roll with that.

 check out the anthems. They are almost exactly the same as the invaders but they're a little bit wider so they are slightly better for all mountain.

If you had the budget, you could get a better all mtn ski, but seeing as you're a beginner park skier, you'll probably love the invaders. Go for it! Just don't get em too short. Go for the 178.

he's 5'7 and new to park, 178 would be too big I'd say 171.

Maybe for now, but he'll get used to them quickly and a soft, center-mounted 178 will feel really short. Not saying that 171 would be bad, but once he gets better, he might appreciate the 178, especially if he's going to use them outside of the park.

thats funny because i was going to go 161..my current skis are 154 so i don't know?

I know for a fact that I want these skis now my friend just helped me out. But, i'm still not sure what size 171 seems decent for me but my current skis are 154 and I feel as though it would be huge even though they are center mounted?

171 should be ok. centermounted means they will ski considerably shorter, and youll appreciated the added landing surface on jumps. if you really feel like shorter, you can, but 171 will be great i think

171 is a good size for you. They will ski shorter too with the center mount.

Invaders are really fun on groomers, but not all that good elsewhere I've found due to how flexible they are.

Still a fun ski though.

I had invaders for this season. sick ski.

Great for rails/boxes. perfect jib ski. It's really buttery and soft, so its not the best for bigger jumps, but I find it worth it sense I can butter off everything.

Also, the whole centermounted thing makes it so much easier to ski and carve backwards.

So this is a great cheap ski for jibbing and small-medium jumps.

I found it perfectly fine on all mountain. perfect for groomer.

It's not quitee as great on powder since its not as fat, but I didn't have problems dropping stuff into pow.

Good luck deciding. This year I'm gettin line afterbangs. more expensive but they sound sick so far.
