I am from Manitoba, Canada, and am currently finishing up my first year of university at the U of Calgary. My girlfriend on 2 years is going back home to Manitoba for the summer and then staying there for school in the fall for the school year.
I am faced with the choice of whether or not to stay here and do the long distance relationship thing or go back to Manitoba.
The case for Calgary:
-Skiing is a hell of a lot more accessible
-I've made some really good friends here
-They have pre-law courses here, which is quite unique because you usually just take arts classes and are introduced to law in law school.
-Ever since I was little I have planned on coming out west when I'm done highschool
The case for Manitoba
-I have old friends there
-I would get to have my girlfriend around
-I would be back around family and would get to hang with them sometimes
I am not worried about my girlfriends and my relationship falling apart, thats not an issue for me or her, I just don't want to move back there and then regret not being out west with my good friends, but I also don't want to stay out here and regret not having an awesome time with my girl around.
I'm obviously not asking anyone to make the decision for me, but I'd like to hear what some people think.
